Course Description
AP Biology is an introductory college-level biology course. Students cultivate their
understanding of biology through inquiry-based investigations as they explore the
following topics: evolution, cellular processes — energy and communication,
genetics, information transfer, ecology, and interactions.
Laboratory Requirement
This course requires that 25 percent of the instructional time will be spent in
hands-on laboratory work, with an emphasis on inquiry-based investigations that
provide students with opportunities to apply the science practices.
AP Biology - Registering Your Pearson Mastering Student Access Code
Step 1: Go to www.pearsonschool.com/access.
Step 2: Enter SSNAST in the box and click the Enter Code button.
Step 3: Select Covered Titles, then choose Science. Choose your title from the list:
Campbell, Biology in Focus, AP Edition, 1e, Urry/Cain/Wasserman/Minorsky/Jackson/Reece
Step 4: If the information matches your title, select Student Registration.
Step 5: Read and accept the Pearson’s License Agreement and Privacy Policy.
Step 6: Creating your Pearson account
Do you have a Pearson account? Select No.
Create your user name and password.
Enter the student access code: SSNAST-BANJO-GRAND-SOUGH-MIMIR-JADES
Step 7: Entering your profile
Enter your personal information.
After entering your school zip code, a list of schools will appear.
Select Other and enter your school information.
Select Next.
Step 8: On Screen Information
Congratulations! You are now registered.
Select Log in Now.
Step 9: Join Your Online Course
Did you receive a Course ID from your instructor?
Select Yes.
Enter the Course ID: CMILLER4JMA
Select Continue.
Once at your course home page, visit the Learn More section for additional information.
