Community Services
The foundation supports programs designed to provide social services; job training; essential services; early learning and
educational enrichment; and construction of community facilities for low-and moderate-income individuals and families.
Economic Development
The foundation supports programs designed to enhance quality of life through neighborhood revitalization, cultural
enrichment, and human services. Special emphasis is directed toward programs designed to promote growth of targeted
low-and moderate-income communities and/or provide services to those communities.
Education
The foundation supports educational programs for children and youth, teachers, and families, with emphasis on early
education initiatives for low-and moderate-income children. Special emphasis is directed toward programs designed to
promote math, science, or the arts; provide direct services for children in their classroom or community; foster
professional development for teachers; promote family engagement for children being served by grants; and include
volunteer opportunities for PNC employees.
Green Building
The foundation supports environmental projects and green building in local communities.
Matching Gift Program
The foundation matches contributions made by employees of PNC Financial Services Group and its subsidiaries to
educational institutions and human service organizations on a one-for-one basis from $50 to $2,500 per employee, per
year.
PNC Grow Up Great
Through the PNC Grow Up Great 10-year initiative, the foundation supports programs designed to improve school
readiness of children from birth to age five through grants to nonprofit organizations and early education centers involved
with math, science, the arts, and financial education for young children.
Revitalization and Stabilization of Low-and Moderate-Income Areas
The foundation supports programs designed to improve living and working conditions of low-and moderate-income
communities; eliminate blight; and attract and retain businesses and residents to the community.
