Once I have planned all this, I print it out and highlight the best bits. BUT what is the structure going
to be? I think I should start each chapter with emails to my sister about my week. She’s an air
hostess flying the world. We meet up occasionally during the book but mainly I party with Fiona
(Firgas). We get to know my sisters character through her emails and mine through my first person
musings. FIFTY SHADES OF GREY IS FIRST PERSON.
OR I do it 37 Friday nights for my quest to find a lover and my work getting in the way. Could start
each chapter with my sister asking how I am getting on. Or start the book with the prologue about
looking at the calendar and then in present tense. Week 1 and my resolutions start….
What is the chick lit book that is written with letters about a girl that dreamed of working in a hotel
but had a kid early?
(But Jackie Collins is 3rd person with characters like Firgas, Leo, Stephen Mahoney. Mr Big)

Cheryl Cole marries Ashley Cole in July 2006. I went to her hen do at Umbaba, watching her mum fall
off the table and her be loud / rude / disgraceful! (Still had the toilet slapping gene in her)
Being envious of Katie Nicholl gate crashing Kate Moss’s 30th birthday and vowing to do the same
one day. I did it at the time of her 35th birthday 
Being envious of Katie Nicholl’s trips to Cannes then getting to go to Monaco for Swarovski Fashion
Rocks 2005. Getting invited to the Candy’s yacht and being shocked I had to take my shoes off. I had
terrible feet! Hearing about Neil Reading’s indecent arrest for shagging someone outside Jimmyz.
Meeting Kasabian. Mariah Carey. Beyonce and Jay-Z. Bon Jovi. Amerie, Craig David, Blondie, Victoria
Beckham eating chocolate cake!! Wearing a tiny gold dress with no bra and gatecrashing!!
REALLY expensive lunches and dinners. Tom Aikens lunch (£140 for lunch with no wine!) £220 fr
dinner at Claridges with Emily Maddick and being told off. BUT at the start, being told to spend
more!!
Taking Simon Brewer (u’luvka) and Harriet to lunch at Kensington Place for my first ever lunch and
being so nervous that I could barely eat! But it coming good as they invited me to a few parties
sponsored by u’luvka or by asahi beer. Coco De Mer had a party at Boujis once!
Party in the Asprey strore in Bond St – always lavish! Going to the launch of Jade Jagger for Garrard
jewellery thanks to Simon Brewer.
Using Simon Brewer at the polo parties as he has society connections. My first ever polo party at PJs
Grill in Fulham, meeting Henry Brett and Jack Kidd and falling in love with the glamour of the sport
(all Jilly Cooper). Vowing to go to more. Alex Rayner also had polo connections and went on to run
Polo in the Park at The Hurlingham.

Going to Annabel’s where I met uncle date guyr (bhaveen jobanputra) and his more important uncle,

Lunching the Conde Nast crew Harriet and Nicola so I could go the Glamour Awards etc. Eatin g PIE
at the Barbican chop house! But it worked. I saw them again at Katie Nicholl’s book launch at Marco
Pierre’s restaurant Wheelers, changing their shoes in the street. Even posh people need to change in
the street too!
Going for lunch with super posh people. Fanny Rush at Chelsea Arts Club.(Shane Warne). Georgea
Blakely at Arts Club (and horse art)
Meeting Marco at Frankie’s Harrods, and him eating my hand. Then going to Hell’s Kitchen with
Dominic Midgeley from LondonPaper Features (and making a mistake eating pigeon so I had to get
prunes!)
Cannes for the first time. I could have a whole chapter on Cannes! Yachts EVERY year. And Pamela
Anderson for Blonde and Blonder one year with Sunday Mirror (and Mark Adams). Kung Fu Panda!
Getting better access at Mail on Sunday than any other place I worked. Eg I was actually invited to
the Quintessentially Party back in 2007 at Eden Roc. Harvey Weinstein was nice to me because I
knew Katie Nicholl (and also because I was pretty).
Pearl Lowe’s collection launch in Holland Park at Cross the Road. So gothic! Someone driving past
and pelting people with eggs. Danny Goffey from Supergrass (my teen hero) being super chatty. Carl
Barat from Babyshambles also being lovely. Sadie Frost moody!
Later on, Firgas and I went to Pearl’s launch for Peacocks at Sketch and I was banned from talking to
Daisy (by Liz Matthews). But it was ok when we went to her swimwear launch at Haymarket Hotel
and Firgas and I thiefed a bit of jewellery! The swimwear was disgusting – vintage styles with boy
shorts and lots of fabric. One of Pearl’s kids was running wild.
The Fashion Tea at athe Mandeville Hotel on Zandra Rhodes china. Beautiful teacups, lots of pink but
it is difficult to get Zandra Rhodes in the paper
Befriending Rod Liddle (Radio 4)and his young girlfriend. Goingfor dinner with them – slightly
awkward as they were arguing and she was pregnant. I was more star struck by him (and ended up
signing up for Millwall newsletter because he was a fan)
Thomas Heatherwick for Longchamp handbags at the Design Museum. Nice goody bag!
Whitechapel Art Gallery party with the YBAs and Kate Moss. I gatecrashed with Veronica!
Gordon Ramsay’s book launch Humble Pie in Claridges, taking Claire Adams from ent news as she
really fancied him. (ended up ruining this friendship with Claire slightly when I got hysterical inat
Glasto). Gordon’s jokes (although not when I beat him in Marathon). Lying to me about buying a
crocodile!
Scarlet Magazine’s 2nd anniversary party – v naughty goodybag with sextoys.co.uk, durex condoms,
lube etcc
Taking Kate Basarab Horwath to Hemel Hempstead and leisureworld and pretending to be a lesbian
couple so we could do a quiz about each other and win a free bottle of ‘Champagne’.
Organising my sisters 21st birthday! Sound nightclub (with free Champagne). Angels as well? I was
sooo glad when it was time for them to get the limo home! I drove up with them in the limo then I
stayed in London.
I went undercover in the London Scientology centre to try and get a lead story on Tom Cruise! Scary.

NOTES I WROTE TO MYSELF – Editing Tips: Need new, active stories (not non-stories about not doing
something or follow-up of other stories). –Don’t exaggerate in conference. – Dress conservatively. –
Speak more quietly in the office when on phone and discussing stories with deputies Emily and Chris.
– Go to parties, don’t be lazy and you get more if you stay longer. –Be flexible – if a good photo story
from a party comes in later in the week then I need to change it.

The LondonPaper launch at the old Chinawhite –smoking shisha in the VIP room…while my sister
almost got thrwn out for throwing her handbag at the barman. Awkward atmosphere as none of the
journalists really knew each other. I decided to film it and I have a DVD somewhere.
The Oscars with Capital Radio. Hoff Watch. Meeting Hoff in his dressing room in Las Vegas with
Johnny Vaughan. Cipriani A’listers! Soho House and goody bags. Mulberry.
Durex condoms launch at Sketch – v cheeky, Another one at The Box club for Dual Impact condoms
(filled with boring journos, no celebs – bad for brand!)
David Hockney exhibition at National Portrait Gallery. Amazing portraits and I got to keep the book. I
felt v classy! Talked to Joanna Lumley about Gurkhas.
Starting to really to get to know photographers. My crew included Daffyd Jones, Alan Davidson,
Richard Young and Dave Bennet.
Meeting Charlie Pycraft for the first time then continuing to work with him at the Sunday Mirror. He
went to public school and used to get decent stories as well as photos. But whe News of the World
shut it affected him so much he became a Buddhist monk!

Maddick (who was panicking even though she was at Beverley Wilshire with Grazia and Grey Goose).

Collins at Beverly Hills Hotel polo lounge!!! Photoshoot at SLS hotel. Visiting Chateau Marmont and
thinking it was a dump!

Agent Provaceteur fashion show at Café De Paris. Kate Moss turned up. I couldn’t get to her so I just
nicked lots of goody bags (in the wrong sizes). I did have better luck when I took Derreck Twum to
the lingerie awards in 2013, he talked to Sarah Harding and I got a photo with Abbey Clancy. Even
tho Derreck was sooo late!
I also took Derrick to the Menkind penthouse…where I found out he had a son!
BUT he was good to cling to when I was scared at the premiere of Paranormal Activity 4. Good
dancer at Love Perfume Awards in Vanilla club when Leo went crazy on the cocktails and flireted
with Lizzie Cundy!
Friday lunches with Luke Blackall – hopefully at le pont de la tour, sometimes at Oxo Tower,
sometimes at the sandwich café near waitrose!
Moet Mirage during London Fashion Week in Sept 2008 where a huge Moet logo was beamed up in
the air. Myself and Alex the blagger stole tons of mini Moet champagne bottles. There was a
fairground and Candy Floss at Holland Park Opera House. I saw Piers Morgan with Celia Walden and
was insanely jealous. Naomi Campbell attended, Tamsin Egerton and Sandi Thom (but Sandi goes
everywhere, she even went to my Sunday Mirror launch party). Tara Palmer Tomkinson in a fishtail
maxi dress acting CRAZY. Getting the Moet key to London Fashion Week when London Fashion week
was at the history museum in South Ken, before it moved to Somerset House.

Sony Bravia BORING TV party at Tramshed in Shoreditch organised by Mark Borkowski. Tamara
Ecclestone was good but yawn aside from that. Chloe Madeley showedup with lots ofpikey friends,
drank too much and puked in the toilets. Chloe also did this at a Nintendo dance party (or got
chucked out of it like she got chucked out Whisky Mist for falling off a table). Now Chloe is a fitness
addict!
Hooch press fashion show at Old Bulington Club organised by Stephen Mahoney and it was so dark
we couldn’t see any of the designs. Chatted to Portia Freeman (linked to Pete Doherty) but that was
it. Weird because of dark!

Royal Box at new Royal Ascot with a massive pink hat (from John Lewis)
P Diddy’s parties – at Paper nightclub and in Copenhagen. Snoop Dogg and the blue carpet. Learning
not to panic when with Mark (and make stuff up that I could get away with).
Giving my parents tickets to the ballet, and they were seated next to the DIRECTOR! They went to
Wicked, the musical and got VIP treatment.
Meeting Gillian Anderson at the X Files I want To Believe premiere – she was nuts! Hearing Mark
Jagasia’s stories about how she lives in her own head, not the real world!
I went to the opening of Billy Elliot the musical, stood up to Elton John about the miners’ strike and
my dad’s involvement in it. Then got abused by rude David Walliams, because I didn’t sponsor him in
his charity channel swim!
Giles Deacon for New Look party at New Look near Marble Arch and Peaches Geldof getting moody /
being diva about goody bags. I got a 50% press discount and a few weeks later my purse was stolen
and they wouldn’t replace it
Bedtime Stories premiere at Odeon High St Ken with Adam Sandler and Russell Brand.
Nicole Kidman Christmas movie premiere The Golden Compass at Old Billingsgate Market – lavish
with a huge bear in reception!
Fun in the foyer for all the kids movies I’ve attended. Seeing Charlie and the chocolate factory with
Katie and Hannah on my 25th birthday. Then getting our portrait taken in Regents Park after I won it
in a raffle at a dinner. Woof, woof! Dinner at Nandos.
Vogue’s 90th birthday at the Serpentine Gallery. I had lunched Harriet and Nicola from Conde Nast by
this point and had fab access. Saw Kate Moss and Pete Doherty looking skanky together. Kate’s hair
looked manky. Matthew Williamson, Camilla Al Fayed, Nigella Lawson, Yasmin Le Bon and Jodie Kidd
looked wayyyy better!
Getting to know Liz Brewer and meeting Joan Collins at the South Kensington Brasserie re-launch by
Azzy. (Who I knew intimately through Nick Valentine)
Hanging out with Sonique – restaurants and parties and competing to see who could be the tallest/
wildest. Shock discovery about her breast cancer.
The Urban Music Awards chaos – three times! Coolio almost got thrown down the stairs by UK
Worries (cousin of Beenie Man) at New Connaught Rooms. Then I went with MAC make-up and
nobody knew what was going on. On a Saturday night (when I didn’t even have to be there). Then
there was blood at the O2 after someone got stabbed and me and Angellica Bell ha to runfrom the
building. Thankfully nobody died (like at the Blackberry gig in 2012 that Leo attended).
Banter with Gordon Ramsay. Him telling me he owned a crocodile. Getting my own back to get my
parents a lovely table at Claridges for their ‘wedding anniversary’.

falling for it myself.
Wild Hogs party and tking Ingrid Tarrant. Having to stop to buy new shoes!

The World Music Awards in London – MEETING MICHAEL JACKSON! And seeing Lindsay Lohan fall
down the stairs. Confusion backstage as Michael was driven up to the stage – a 4 by 4 Toyota land
crusier drove to the door of his dressing room and then drove him 25m to the stage. Sugababes
looking for a dressing room. Michael picked up an award from Beyonce then disappeared while Chris
Brown came on to do a cover of Thriller. Finally he came back, singing just five lines of the song We
Are The World. Ropey! Looked like he couldn’t remember the words.

Swarovski Fashion Rocks in Monaco – wearing hardly any clothes and getting into a lift. Going to the
stage door as James Blunt came out. Getting into the backstage chill area and waiting for Bon Jovi.
Finding Kiki King and going to Bon Jovi’s yacht together. Hedonism and dancing on the tables.
Getting stuck at sea!! Staying in a bad hotel. Meeing the black guy in the Ferrari that promised to get
me int any party…until Eva 3am talked him out of it. Going with Anna Lusser from Outside (who kind
of held me back). She’s married with two kids now (but does PR for Winter Wonderland). She
married well – head of Royal Albert Hall.

and Krissie Hynde and it felt like a mothers meeting in a café in Euston. I mean, was anyone even
drinking except diet coke?

Organising Hannah Mills’ Hen Do at Mayfair Hotel but not being able to do the daytime spa part
because I was working on a Saturday. The nightime meal was alright but Crystal club wouldn’t let us
in because somepeople were too ugly (!!!) so we had to beg Kevin Wright / Jeremy to let us into
Angels (the Stringfellows club!). We ended up getting free Champagne tho!
Doing the Midweek mash-up and capturing the action on my Flip cam. UNTIL I fought with Jody
Thompson (who was jealous) and I got into ‘legal trouble’ with Lily Allen who was rude to me on
camera at the V festival.
Going from highs to normal with the Glamour Woman of the Year gatecrashing to going to K-Box to
play singstar guitar and do karaoke. Wireless Fest lightbox to Firgas’ BBQ.
Being bored by shows – the ballet when Julien Macdonald designed the costumes.
Volver premiere with Penelope Cruz but she was frosty. (Not like when I met her and sister Monica
in toilets of Soho House in LA). Kiki King managed to talk Spanish to her but that was it. I was
stunned by her beauty. But she was rubbish with men – Tom Cruise and Matthew McConaughey
break-ups.
London’s Critics Circle Film Awards…and getting to talk to Sienna Miller about Gi Jane and her driving
test. Buying the ticket for NSPCC and the Sunday Mirror taking ages to pay for it 
Seeing U2 on the roof of BBC Radio 1…and waiting in the posh Langham hotel first (on expenses!)
Seeing The Kings of Leon at Brixton Academy with Paul Stokes, just because I fancied paul stokes, not
coz I knew who the band were. Swigging from their Champagne bottle afterwards which was a
high…and then a low as the Sunday mirror didn’t know who they were either!
O2 Silver Clef Awards lunch and meeting Amy Winehouse when Blake was in prison. She put a
message of support in her beehive. Then we chatted afterwards. While we were chatting a photo
was taken and I ended up in the gossip column of The Sun.
Sony Walkman party…just so I could get a free MP3 walkman. (That I couldn’t actually work as I am
so used to iPhones. Ebay!!)
Shock discovery that Telegraph good girl Rebecca Newman became a hardcore sex columnist for GQ!
Jeans for Genes launch with afternoon tea at The Sanctum Hotel – but the Sunday Mirror being
stupid about me going out the office in the afternoon. Having to justify everything. Stacey Solomon
from X Factor was there with her son and lovely. And some Strictly Come Dancing people?

But I did get an invite to the Mulberry For Giles star studded party in 5th floor café in Harvey Nicks. I
didn’t get an invite to Pharrell Williams clothing launch in Harvey Nicks and tons of other parties but
I turned up anyway and still got goodybags! Inc a Pringle party! (MaybeGoogle Harvey Nichols
parties between 2006-2008. One year it was a summer party I got into, so fun, great canapés, always
real Champagne not cava).
Glastonbury – freezing! Amy Winehouse stylist / tepee/ Piers Hernu. Dressing up woth the Klaxons,
Pete Doherty’s Winnebago and lemons and NME, being forced to bathe in mud (with hanprints),
weird photographer )Rowern Lwarence). My first Glastonbury = full of high hopes. I got expenses to
buy a tent. But I was lonely, I was wet, it was freezing! I was starving. I just got back from Mykonos
where I was so helthy and tanned and ruined it at Glasto. In Mykonos, Jo got with Damo but I was
still single. Or was I with Ed Scott? Uggggghhh. FINALLY getting in the BBC Hospitality area. BBC is
meant to be license payers but they had great food (bacon sarnies) and I saw Chas and Dave.
Interviewing Lewis Hamilton…just about! Struggling to get time with him at the Hempel party
Kylie Minogue’s White Diamonds premiere and persuading Murray Chalmers PR to get me a photo
with her. Then having to find something to wear. Going to the pub before for start of week
(Tues)drinks with the bosses like James Scott and him genuinely wishing me luck.
Sunday Mirror politics – liking James Saville and TinaWeaver and Mike Hamiltn but hating Nick
Buckley and James Scott (class wars).
The climate gig Live Earth and getting backstage thanks to Embassy nightclub hospitality. Taking a
news reporter and they were LAZY, I got everywhere while being hassled by Sean all day. Finally I got
Liam Gallagher but he wasn’t happy. Hung out with Dave Grohl and his kid and Geri Halliwell and
bluebell. The only person I couldn’t get to was Madonna. But I did witness them all being briefed
about the message to give on stage. Nightmare day as after gig finished at 10, I queued up for more
than an hour to get on stage. Wembley travel hell!
Going to Ibiza with Sony Erisson for 48 hours of hedonism (PAOLO) with The streets!!
Miss Sixty gifting lounge at the Metropolitan hotel where Daisy Lowe took all her friends! I got more
than Firgas because I was working for the paper but we stole the elemis bathroom toiletries!

best years but its fab every year (except the year I was in St Petersburg and Holly Kutchinsky went to
mingle with George Lamb). I went one year in a pedalo car thing as couldn’t get a taxi. Taylor
Lautner. Going downstairs early after dinner even tho I wasn’t invited to dinner. Piers Morgan
chatting about Naomi Campbell. Cigarettes outside with Charlotte Church.

There was an F1 party at 50 st james casino once, which I also had to gatecrash. I was photographed
playing cards / roulette with Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe. Yum! But later on he took
objection to something I wrote in Sunday Mirror.
Globe Theatre – Under The Black Flack Pirate party. Having a picnic with a Pret a Manger platter with
Cava and Mail on Sunday features. Classy (not!)

Looking v sweaty in the photo as I was soooo desperate to make it happen. And I think I was wearing
a dress with a red wine stain as I hadn’t washed it since meeting Jordan at the Ripleys museum. The
dress itself was free in the first place as Firgas blagged it for me.
Sumptuous Blackberry Pearl party at Fulham Palace. Custom-built marquee. Menu on the way in
with all the canapés. But not super star-studded. Jodie Kidd was probably the biggest name. Waiters
putting their chewing gum in the curtains as they knew the structure would be pulled down. Sav and
Dynamo did magic tricks. Johnny Borell from Razorlight did a gig.
Sort of good Blackberry Bold party in Covent Garden Piazza. Let down by the fact that it was boiling
hot, there was no air, more alchol than water and a woman fainted inside. Hot Chip did a DJ set and
The Feeling performed live. Veuve Cliquot and canapés and bowl food and 4 types of dessery
including choc mousse, choc dipped strawberries and passion fruit cakes,

when I went for the Oscars. But it all went slightly sour when Pamela Anderson was visiting for a

she was a lot older than me. I sucked up. I sucked up EVEN MORE to Diana Butler at Guards and it
even paid off when I was at Sunday Mirror…
The Spirit premiere at the Old Sorting Office and trying to get close to Eva Mendes but she was In a
VIP area at the film premiere behind a rope. And then she left. And I was freezing and don’t think I
got anything from that party, except a fake story from that dancer Theo and Emmanuel Ezugwu (and
a lot of stress).
Keira Knightley staying in the VIP area of one of her premieres but Dominc Cooper from mama mia
mingling with EVERYONE. Catching up about the GQ awards as he wasJames Corden’s flatmate. I sort
of imagined that he fancied me 
South Bank Sky Arts awards – great access thanks to Mat Horne’s girlfriend Katherine BUT not great
celeb guests, because of the mix of highbrow. A random mix – Russell Kane, Olivia Colman. I think I
met Mel C one year  Always a nice day at The Dorchester, even if we get rubbish sandwiches and
not a three course meal.
Taking my housemate Jenny to see George Micheal’s last gig (and it being rubbish).But tickets cost
£100 each!
Getting drunk in the afternoon after Sky Arts awards, similar to after the Ivor Novello awards (when
Lily Allen mooned out the window of the pub!). Amy Winehouse won an Ivor in 2008 and took ages
to come out. Did she actually collect it or did her dad collect it for her? At the Vodafone Live Music
Awards, she sent the landlord of the Hawley Arms to collect her award!
The ballet…and feuding with Matt Smith. But getting Chanel perfume in the goody bag (ebay!)

Having a big ambition to be on TV so inviting a camera crew to Sunday Mirror office on a Saturday
(deadline day) and having to sneak camera crew in. Chatted bout Paris Hilton, but you couldsee I
looked stressed about time on screen. AND you could see my eyebrows looked v overplucked!!

from The Sats (ad filmed her on the Flip) and then met the lovely Ben Foden, her rugby playing
husband. I ate lots of weird crisps flavours. The weirdest may have been the giant crisp that I

invited to her book launch The Business. Her knowing Piers Hernu and then me trying to get a story
about Cerys Matthews and Marc Bannerman as Marc and Piers were staying with her.

as I had no reception at the hotel.

Doing the FIRST EVER interview with Adele in January 2008 – and our close relationship after. Her

Academy of Chocolate Awards – I was a judge of chocolate truffles. Eating 36 truffles (although
halves). Just before I ran the marathon. With bread in between.
Thornton’s chocolate tasting at Sanderson hotel – getting really told off for drinking Champagne as it
ruins tastebuds. The same master chocolatier had a bad temper as he was caught going into Hotel
Chocolat and ruining things! Arrested!!
Krispy Kremes – getting sent a whole box every time a new flavour launched! Calling in LOTS for
when I left Sunday Mirror. Calling in lots for my book launch. Even calling in lots for Firgas’ birthday
at Cordy House!!
However, a lot of ‘working’ lunches are awkward as I am under pressure to get a story. I would
rather go to Nobu with Emily Maddick  At the Sunday Mirror, I ended up going to my house in a
taxi ‘to think’ between 1245 and 230, getting back by 3pm.
Daniel Bee at Soho House – keeping up a bit of a rapport and going to stay at his house in Morocco
with Mark Jagasia. Getting some free Playboy clothes 
Nick Caley from Radio 1 near Covent Garden, but he still gave all his best stories to Lara
Breakfast at the Wolesley with the guy from Kiss Radio (Matt) that I met at the BladeRun

a real effort as I was at home with parents and went back specifically for that breakfast.

News who Kate had previously shagged.
Going to the Ivy with Aroon and being angry as he was sooo late. Then he gave me a ride in his

Revolutionary Road premiere with Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes, just before they announced their
split. Trying and failing to get Kate for a pic. She’s changed since becoming famous. Slimmed down!
But I got Gwyneth Paltrow and her amazing legs the following week,
27 Dresses Gala Screening at Sketch with the Sugababes (both Keisha and Amelle took their
boyfriends). Amelle took Freddie who got stabbed later that year (and they refused to talk then). Liz
McLarnon, Beverley Knight (who is sooooo friendly and nice and has lots of fab shoes but not the
level of fame she deserves), Danielle Lloyd, twins Sam and Amanda Marchant from Big Brother. This
was on the same day as the Blondie musical Desperately Seeking Susan so I went from this play to
the Susan after-party. didn’t even see the Susan play 
Vitamin Water getting me into tons of London Fashion Week shows (and then Liz Matthews etc
being rude to me for thinking I was tabloid). Especially the Gianmarco Lorenzi show one year- sooo
rude!
Lazy journalism – don’t even need to ask stars qs any more, we can just get photos of them and us.
Sunday Mirror abuse –changing my working hours at the last minute so that I ended up crying loudly
in the disabled toilet, on the floor. Being so scared of not getting a story, I woke up at4am on
occasions! I gave my own money to the Amy Winhouse contact as I was desperate to geta story.

The launch of a new LG phone at Sktech and another at Shoreditch house secret garden. SO much
money spent!
Launch of a new nightclub at the Grange Hotel, St Pauls. Did anyone VIP actually show? The biggest
VIPs were me and my intern Rose.
Tropic Thunder premiere and filming Ben Stiller on my flip. The film was soooo dull!The ITV4 crime writers awards – yawn!
Kerrang! Award hedonism. Kele from Bloc Party got in a fight. Someone got run over outside the
after party in Hoxton. Someone climbed over a table and got glass in their body (ambulance!). Too
much Jegermeister and whisky (Jack Daniels from the bottle for Sarah Harding!)
TV Schedule launches – a lot of writer in one room but with special catering and goody bags. It was
good at the Sky 1 launch as we got a leather bag. At the LIVING party, a couple got married (Nicola
mclean) and we got wedding cake and I met the Hoff. At another, it was in Holland Park and Lisa
Snowdon wondered round with the Next Top Models. Did Mick Jagger turn up later…or was that a
QUINTESENTIALLY summer party at Holland park. Same venue, different luxury parties!

The Brtish comedy awards – fun meeting Jonathan Ross and geeky comedians. Good to meet the
writer of Peep Show. If only I hadn’t been too scared to follow up, I could have had a film written
about me!
Simon Pegg at Run Fatboy Run premiere. Not watching the film, but loving Simon Pegg!
Blood Diamond – premiere with Leo Di Caprio and Dijmon Hounsou. Watching the movie.

Vodafone Live Music Awards – meeting the Pussycat Dolls in their dressing room and Nicole

Brixton and writer Nadia had her hair stroked!

innocent looking Katherine Jenkins about drinking! Chantelle and Rav and then a few months later
she was pregnant by Alex Reid! Ronnie Wood once going up back stairs. Same for Bob Geldof,
scuttling away. But I caught them all in the interval, eventually!

It was weird how I found out about Firgas’ pregnancy. I found out at Smooth You Halloween party
(that I hosted to get free hair extensions) because she confessed to Shaun Stafford’s wife Sophie and
I could not believe it because I thought Sophie was chatting about Sarah Cawood.
I doA LOT to stay in shape like a celebrity form running the marathon to training with Shaun Stafford
and Derrick Twum, Frame Classes, Boom My Body Spinning, Barry’s Bootcamp and the Iyashi dome
sweating as much as I would do in a marathon).
Grooming treatments – massage at Laetitia Haute Coiffure to Eyebrow Tattoo at Karen Betts. But I’m
not good at eyelashes. I remember when Gok Wan pulled them off me one day!
Getting hair extensions done at so many random places – for free!! First I won it at the salon near
Chalk Farm tube. Then I couldn’t afford it so me and my sister got clip-ins from Luton that I sewed.
Then Lauren Pope had ones with clips already. Clip-ins from Dorothy Perkins, Primark and Jessica
Simpson ones from Selfridges. Michelle Griffin put some back in again and I travelled to Brimingham
for more until she was hungover and ruined my hair. Then Smooth You until Firgas made me and
Katie fall it and the owner put cheap quality hair in. Then a salon in Finchley that had really bad
straight hair that matted and a v sad xmas tree and mad people. Finally happiness with Tatiana in
Kensington, where I should be. Inanch was also a v good one but I felt insecure because she was
sooo good, they did lots of celebs and I borrowed Pia Michi’s dresses too but did I get them enough
publicity?

and being confident to talk to Tatiana.

Childline Ball at a posh hotel wit Esther Rantzen…but Amanda Holden made it worth going.
Rihanna’s gig for Nokia. Alicia Keyes secret gig at Aqua, w1. Trying to get into the VIP area so I can do
filmed interviews. Finally getting JLS to talk to me about women’s shoes. It being a real sweat box.

Teaming up with the corset manufacturer and speaking on stage at The Ideal Home Show
Wearing a corset to the Laurence Olivier theatre nominations at Haymarket Hotel and trying to
explain to Keira Knightley and Mel C why I was wearing a corset. But Keira’s top had people shagging
on it!
Jackass 3D premiere – meeting Johnny Knoxville and getting him to record a message to me. Seeing
TOWIE stars and not bothering to talk to them as I don’t know who they are. My sister recognising
them! And then my sisters boyfriend missing the bus back and sleeping in EustonSquare.
Soooo many polo adventures, including indoor polo at the Gaucho O2. Taking Alex as a
photographer and having a great view behind the goal line . Taking my sister to the SilverSpring polo
at Hurlingham and sitting with the South Africa team. Her sneezing all day! Cartier polo with Norm.
Christms carols with Laura after I broke up with Alex. Richard Caddle and the dull Oxford v

Stupid people I work with – trying to raise Julia Suzuki’s profile, even taking her to see Cirque Du
Soleil and putting up with her at the Beauty Show at Excel (in her high shoes). At Cirque, at leas she
met Arlene Phillips and Paloma Faith.
Variety Club childrens charity with Vanessa Feltz and Christopher Biggins and then being told Very
didn’t want it because its not cool enough for them. Oops! But I filmed some good stuff on my Flip
cam!
We Sing Robbie Williams party at Cuckoo club – lack of celebs except X Factor’s Peter Dickson. This
ended up being a crazy night out with the media eye’s Sean, Nick Valentine and the cuckoo club. But
we got a goody bag – games parties have big budgets.
Doing a debate against Max Clifford at the Cambridge University Union debating society. Also Mark
Borkowski and James from The Apprentice.
David Bowie at V&A museum – even tho he didn’t attend. I didn’t understand the buzz around him
but it was soooo star studded. From the young rock offspring to young Brit actors to old Noel
Gallagher and Bill Nighy.
Madagascar 2 premiere – Jada Pinkett Smith and and Ben Stiller and Chris Rock – very star studded.
Videos on flip cam. Jada = TINY! But stunning. I was outside on the red carpet which was weird,
normally inside the foyer. As premieres have got bigger with more journalists attending we are
always outside rther than inside. Its changed!
Red Hot Women’s Awards with Calvin Klein’s Euphoria – AMAZING goodybag. But why wasn’t I
nominated – I’m better than a Knackered Mother’s Wine club?? Chatted to Clare Balding.

Wht happened to them? Plan B also performed and Jonathan Ross and JodieKidd also attended so
that theycould get free consoles.
Taking my brother to the Leicester Sq premiere of the new Halo game. My brother playing against
Dizzee Rascal…and beating him. But we had to sneak into the VIP area, jumping behind a curtain!

attended. Lauren Goodger, Lauren Pope, Maria Fowler, Joey Essex, Jessica Wright, Rizzle Kicks. The
boy with the cat (andDJ) Lee showed up – annoying! Lee told everyone computer games were evil
compared to surfing / being outdoors. Embarrassing!

There was Cristal on EVERY table. Usher performed happy birthday for a millionaire’s girlfriend. I was
accompanied by Jess from Max Clifford. I felt honoured that Max was trusting me instead of News of
The World columnist Rav Singh. Then I got the phone call (while at Asda on a Sunday morning after
running) that made me sick to my stomach – I got the millionaire’s name wrong. I called back Max
while sitting on the wall at Asda and it was not a nice phone call.
Townley Live festival – with the Saturdays. I took Alex. But where was Townley? Such a weird event!
Isle of Man festival – they were so desperate for me to attend they paid for my brother and I to fly
and for our hotel. We flew out with The Saturdays and stayed in the same hotel. JLS were there but
would only talk to fans so I got them to sign a banana. Diversity were there – I really fancy Ashley
Banjo – they were sooo normal. Eating burgers in the airport on the way back. Spandau Ballet were
big stars, but I was not impressed (too young for them!). My brother and I would rather go to the
hotel gym and eat salad than wander round a festival, fuelled on unhealthy burgers.
Cooking three puddings LIVE at Masterchef and then getting drunk with Nick Adasi afterwards.
Having wide-faced Richard Stewart buy me Champagne and chocs from Selfridges that day, then
sleeping with him in his massive sleigh bed.
Seeing Jonathan Ross’s last ever show on BBC (after Sachsgate) with Sarah Bull. Getting fake xmas
snow everywhere – hair, bag, etc
After I left the Sunday Mirror, I had to buy tickets for gigs! Eg Britney Spears. My sister and I sat so
far back!
Wale Adeyemi (cool fashion designer) and me almost writing his book. But what happened to Ashley
Mann.
Bob Patmore’s positive advice book - I almost wrote his book, bribed by helicopter trip and Horse
Whisperer meeting. Met him when I met Lewis Moody at Austin Reed’s flagship store party.
BUT I still got some good bribes. Tanqueray gin invited me and Alex to the Goodwood Revival
meeting (vintage).
I took Alex to so many good things inc TV Choice Awards at Savoy sponsored by Daz when he was
too tall to fit in the press area. I was a bit late and I had really bad tootache so I wasn’t in the best
mood. It was Sept 2011 and I felt this was the beginning of the end as we sat on The Terrace at
Somerset House, me eating and him drinking. He cheated on me / stopped calling around Halloween
2011.
Winter Wonderland. First year with Ed Scott and us giving the pass away afterwards. Taking Paul
Stokes one year and he was late (but snogging on the big wheel). Show off ice skating, Taking Firgas
a few years (inc when she was pregnant). My sis going one year and getting drunk and falling over
Nikki Grahame. Going with my sister one year and no canapés – so had to buy a hog roast. Gets
worse / more corporate every year, Going with Rose and Amar on ALL the rides then having to go to
Intercontinental Hotel to quickly get changed in a dress (from winter warms) for next event that
night. Scary rides and roller coaster that hurts your head. Roundabout that I thought Firgas would
miscarry. Being hard to get goss as celebs go in and have fun / mingle not stay in the hospitality area
Grand Opening of The Red Room at Les Ambassaders casino – overflowing with Chamapagne. Lovely
roof terrace but hardly any celebs and I wanted to get a story! Nancy Dell Olio, Tamara Ecclestone,
Danielle Bux, Lucy Benjamin, Duncan from Dragons Den, Marie Helvin model. Sooo many journalists
there downing the free Champagne. It’s open til 6 so I vowed to come back with friends, then nevr
did.
We Bought A Zoo premiere with Christine Bleakley hosting. She’d just got together with Frank
Lampard, however, so she sneaked it and when people tried to talk to her she literally ran away and
hid in a room!
Louie Louie party in Camden. Terrible party (Sadie Frost) but I did get to borrow clothes another time
thanks to Katie at Get Touched PR. And lots of beauty products!
Gianmarco Lorenzi party at their South Molton St shop. Videoing her (and her bad skin) for
Very.co.uk then getting caught up in her court case with Grazia. Loving Gianmarco Lorenzi ever since
(along with Cleo B shoes).
Pixie Lott album launch at W Hotel – a private room and a massive budget. At the party were other
journos and her childhood friends – hardly any celebs

wagon. I think this was my first experience of a pic n mix wagon.

Morning Glory premiere with Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdam. Staying to watch the film because
it was about warring Breakfast Show TV presenters – fun. However, Harrison himself was a bit
moody, just like he was at the hotel du cap with Calista Flockhart when Calista was drinking tea
(boring) in the bar.
Pixie Lott album launch and private jet to Berlin. Lunch in Berlin, quick gig then back to London. But
no water on the plane. And she didn’t give way any juicy gossip at all!
Fabulous High Street Fashion Awards, being invited by Gemma Glover from ThinkJam. Being nice to
all the other bloggers. But hardly any celebs! Lauren Goodger? Lauren Pope, Chloe Sims, Frankie
Essex and Sarah Jane Crawford. Hosted by Lauren Laverne. It was at Il Bottacio so I should have
known it was bad! Meeting all the LondonPaper ad team. FAB goody bag.

Going to the DVD launch of a chick flick, just after I split from Alex. It was in a nightclub downstairs –
Café de Paris or one in Kingly St and I snogged a male model friend of Sam Dowler’s whose name I
don’t even know. I just remember eating the cupcake, icing the cupcake and snogging the guy. Then
telling pregnant Firgas the next day when we worked in the brothel. Firgas decorating te brothel
while pregnant.
Terrible party for launch of Thomasina Miers cookbook at The Hospital Club gallery – just cheese and
bread and no food at all. Or drinks!
Other odd parties at The Hospital – fragrance parties. One party where they served syringe cocktails
– was it the after party for the Christian Slater play about being in an asylum?
My own parties are always fab – even Scott Cornwall at Stoke Park! Scott Cornwall Sex and The City
Party at CityPoint club – first time I met No Bull and Firgas looked after them in the Jacuzzi. TONS of
media (but No photos!!!)
Angellica Bell and Michael Underwood post wedding party at Mayfair hotel. Taking Alex and then
having a gay guy say I was his icon. Flattering! Disgusing patron tequila cocktails but great mini
burger cocktails. Alex took photos 
Funny party with Firgas for launch of the Playboy Club with Rich and my boyf alex. We had to
gatecrash and by time we got in, Hugh had left. It was a well catered party in terms of food (sefood
buffet) and drink (we stole Champagne glasses and Alex got Bourbon) but it was all bar owners and
no celebs.
Me and Firgas had a plan to go to the playboy mansion in LA, but never quite made it yet.

Trying to get revenge on Alex by going to RBS 6 Nations in Italy. Staying up late the night before,
getting a massive headache, taking photos then missing the match as I was soooo ill, it was snowing
and my boots leaked. The next day, I went to the spa and it was better but Italy was such a let down.
Even Binman Bryan let me down (at one stage promising a private jet)

Watching Beyonce at the O2 with Cadbury’s in the worst box ever. There was no catering!! I ended
up bringing my own from M&s and then we got a tiny bit of wine!
Mingling at sooo many authors parties to try and get abook deal – eg Orion authors party at Opera
House, Romantic Novellists Association, random house party, Galaxy British Book Awards (with
Midas – the Nibbies), Man Booker prize, Orange Prize for Fiction (meeting Kate Mosse). If I spent as
much time writing as I do meeting agents I would probably have written a bestseller by now.

100 Years of Mills and Boon party with Alan Titchmarsh – and doing more mingling so I could
attempt to write a Mils and Boon book! At the sumptuous venue, The Wallace Collection in
Marylebone.
Galaxy British book awards being really good, always an amazing goody bag but also in terms of
stories. Pregnant Jordan one year, Paul Gascoigne in tears another, Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay
another. Jamie’s wife Jools talking to me about kids. The normally boring book industry workers
staying late and dancing round their handbags at Grosevnor House Hotel. Me being sooo caught up
in the buzz I dated organiser Ben Tisdall.
Meeting Pat Lomax and trying to get her to publish my book. But she did come through good with
meeting Jermaine Jackson at Thriller Live musical (even if Thriller was dull).
Jane Compton not taking me on for Noel Gay BUT coming good with Ben De Lisi and I ended up
borrowning a Ben dress for the Brits one year. AND going to Mykonos with him (accidentally).
British Fashion Council party at Hempel Hotel – start of London Fashion Week party 2007. Then it
happening at Mayfair Hotel from 2008 onwards.
Woriking with Made in Chelsea star Cheska Hull when she worked at a PR company, London League.
Trying to get her to blog for me so my blog would be on TV. Lots of late nights, including one at
Movida waiting for Perez Hilton. Amar had a late one at Movida waiting for NeYo.
I ended up making cocktails with NeYo another time – using the new Malibu that had tequila in it!
Meeting Amber Rose at the BodyAmr fashion show and not that impressed by her looks. How did
she get Kanye West (unlessKanye is gay!)
Amazing Arabia premiere at BFI Imax with Prince Charles. I filmed him on my Flip cam. Weird other
guests – Dionne Bromfield. Helen Mirren. Heather Mills McCartney
Billionaire Scott asking me to be his date to his birthday party, then rejecting me afterwards. So
lonely all his other ex’s couldn’t be bothered to pretend. But I had to hang out with his posh pretty
friends – way more girls than guys.
Deviation premiere with Danny Dyer, filming him behind the bar with Tony Lundon for a teaser tape.
Trying to act natural and being a bit rubbish at it! Lots of Danny Dyer adventures, esp his daughter
and Thorpe Park and ALL those rides twice.

syringes. Like the Body Parts cakes collection by Miss Cakehead.
Rugby Writers dinner – fun and a few famous people. To me, that’s a treat!
