Our FAST members: › Will serve as judges to evaluate materials and › › › › › student performance Will serve as committee chairs Will help with registration and checking in chapters Will make sure students are where they need to be at the appropriate time Will post results, and return materials to teachers We need approximately 50 members involved to make the event a success! Find judges for the event (chair can also judge) Make sure judges are familiar with and utilized the rules and rubrics for the event Show up on time to the event (7:30 a.m.), professionally dressed Set up the room as needed Introduce teams to the judges, depending on event Compile judge’s rankings to determine overall rankings Post the rankings and organize materials to return to teachers Show up on time to the event (7:30 a.m.), professionally dressed Utilize the scoring rubrics provided to evaluate teams/individuals Provide written feedback to help the student’s improve performance Turn in team/individual rankings to the chair along with rubrics/written suggestions to be returned to the teacher Chair will develop an exam—old versions are available to make this easier Proctors (2) are needed to administer the exam and ensure the division of juniors/seniors The exam is graded by a scanner. Some questions are hand graded. Results are posted for juniors/seniors.
