Position Summary:
Works with the VP, Community Impact and Manager of Impact Initiatives to support the Prosperity Campaign and
provide support to the VITA and AARP volunteers and the Income Tax Return Preparation program.

H.S. Degree
College Degree*
Certification/License*
AA or 4-year degree preferred in nonprofit/business management, human services, or related field. Appropriate work
experience may substitute for degree.
- Experience: (Type of work experience, min. number of years):
At least 5 years’ experience in a professional support, administration role. Prefer prior experience in marketing
department, non-profit volunteer programs, and/or customer service. Able to work independently with minimal
supervision. Able to initiate and follow through projects to completion. Detail oriented.
- Technical or Administrative Knowledge:
Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), social media, as well as familiarity with online software
applications. Ability to work with appropriate office machines (fax, postage, etc.).
- Special Skills and Abilities and/or:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, polished, professional demeanor.

Job Functions, Unique Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:
General:
1. Follows the administrative guidelines and policies established by United Way.
2. Maintains a community image consistent with the United Way mission.
Prosperity Campaign Specific Duties:
1. Types, copies and prepares a variety of correspondence and packets including letters, memos, reports,
documents, and charts to support the work of the Prosperity Campaign Committee.
2. Schedules, prepares agenda and minutes of Prosperity Campaign Committee meetings.
3. Coordinate financial literacy marketing plan with VP, Community Impact, for development of print, radio, TV,
social and other media and presentations. Obtains printing and other quotes, tracks expenses related to
programs.
4. Drafts, prepares and manages tax program publicity mailings to volunteers and general public.
5. Assists with volunteer recruitment, training and recognition events.
6. Manages inventory and requests for financial education materials for UW events, campaign presentations, etc.;
develops, maintains distribution database of publicity materials to community; volunteer database, committee/
outreach information.
7. Tracks and maintains documentation related to funding (VITA grant, other grants).
8. Works with 2-1-1 staff to ensure smooth appointment setting procedures for tax appointments.
9. Coordinates with Prosperity Campaign and VP, Community Impact, EITC Kick-Off event.
10. Coordinates financial literacy materials to be distributed at tax sites.
11. Provides reports on program utilization, as requested.
12. Additional duties as assigned.
Other:
1. Assists with campaign efforts including public speaking to promote United Way and/or partner agencies.
2. Ensures adherence to established safety practices and guidelines.
3. Other duties as assigned.
