2. JOB PURPOSE
Working directly with customers to drive consumer led food development.
Leading and facilitating all development activities within the category from
concept through to launch, meeting all internal and external requirements.
To stay abreast of current and emerging consumer food and ingredient trends and
translate these into relevant food products for our customers.

4. DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Efficiently manage a range of development projects that deliver attractive,
profitable products.
To grow the category through the successful launches of exciting new products.
To manage development projects for the category by leading meetings and
communicating progress to both the teams internal and external.
Work effectively with other key functions (such as Commercial, Operations,
Group Technical, Process, Packaging, Site technical etc) to deliver new products
and reformulations of existing products, focusing on standardisation and
continuous improvement where possible.

Category and Site Technologists to work closely together agreeing objectives and
create work plans to deliver site Product Development projects.
Apply all relevant laws and regulations along with company and customer policies
and practices pertaining to food standards, preparation and hygiene.
Champion the implementation of the Product Launch Process within relevant
category.
Review current ways of working and propose and implement new ways of
working to the Category Food Development Manager, evaluating impact from
both internal and external customer perspectives with a view to continuously
improving the quality and deliverance of the output.
Manage ingredient process to optimise use of existing ingredients in the business
and ensure that all new suppliers and ingredients considered meet customer
requirements.
Ability to manage supply chain projects as and when required.
To facilitate some projects and factory trials, a degree of flexibility will be
required, reflecting the working hours within the business.
To undertake frequent travel to visit customers, suppliers and to manage projects
across sites. To undertake wider global travel as required to meet the demands of
the job reflecting the international nature of the business and our increasing global
customer base. Travel may be required at short notice therefore a great degree of
flexibility is required.
To monitor and control any negative environmental impact arising from the
processes within area of responsibility; ensuring that all direct reports and
colleagues are briefed and clear in regards to their responsibilities as outlined in
the Moy Park Group Risk Management System Manual.
This role will be a Full time, 5 days per week position.
Any other duties as may be required to meet the overall brief and requirements of
the role.
In order to fulfil this role, training will be provided on areas identified as required.

Help in the investigation of accidents in order to prevent recurrence.
