Southwestern Ontario Development Fund

Projects that create at least 10 jobs, encourage innovation collaboration &
cluster development.




Advanced Manufacturing Fund

Repayable funding for research, technological advancement, adoption or
adaptation of innovative products or technology. Funding between $10 - $20 million


Funding to build greener, more fuel efficient vehicles through innovation & R&D.


Vouchers towards the cost of accessing innovation expertise and intellectual

Economic Development Initiative

Programs or services in French to a Francophone community in southern Ontario
(Lakeshore qualifies). Non-repayable contribution (up to $100,000, no more than
50% of eligible costs) for business development activities.

Enabling Accessibility Fund

Grant up to $50,000 to improve accessibility in your facility to maintain or create job
opportunities for people with disabilities. Includes renovation, construction,



Youth / Apprenticeship Grants
The following list identifies a number of grants/funds available through the Province of
Ontario and/or the Government of Canada. Each grant has specific eligibility requirements

Apprenticeship Training Tax Credit

Refundable Tax Credit up to 45% of eligible expenditures based on salaries and
wages paid to an apprentice during the first 48 months of an apprenticeship
program up to $10,000 per year. Maximum credit is $40,000 over 48 months.


Employer Apprentice Signing Bonus

The $2,000 Employment Signing Bonus encourages employers in the trades to register
new apprentices in sectors where there is a high demand for skilled workers. Paid in
two equal installments over 6 months.


Cooperative Education Tax Credit

Refundable Tax Credit available to employers who hire students enrolled in a cooperative Ontario University or college education program. Credit is based on
salaries and wages paid up to 30% of eligible expenditures up to $3,000.
Employment period is minimum of 10 weeks up to four months.


Canada Job Grant






50001 Standard at your facilities to cover implementation costs.
