on School Excellence Program in 84 Municipal Schools of MCGM.
Responsible for Content Development & Teachers Training. (Since 2012..
In addition involved in Teachers Training in schools in Maharashtra thru NGO’s
Worked as Lecturer in Economics and Rural development in Kirti College affiliated to University
of Mumbai for five years and also Post Graduate Lecturer in Rural Development.(from 1979 84)
Notable Activities:
One of the Authors of the Book on Rural Development published by Development Council of
University of Mumbai with assistance of University Grants Commission
Conducted Orientation programs for lecturers of Rural Development of University .
Contingent In Charge of National Social Service (NSS) unit of University and participated in
the workshop of 14 universities.
Established Economics & Politics Association and organize seminars on many issues.

Worked as Research Officer with Maharashtra Economic Development Council and
Executive Editor
Of the Monthly Economic Digest of Council.(From 1975-1979)

Associated in the organization of training programs for Probationary Officers of Children homes
In Maharashtra on Non institutional Services assisted by UNICEF
Development work
1.Established project of National Mission for Bamboo Application in Maharashtra With aim of
Promoting Cultivation and use of Bamboo as a Poverty Alleviation Program.
2Worked as Project Director of School Program –A partnership program of Community Aid &
Sponsorship Program (CASP) an Indian Development Agency And Plan International an
International Development Agency. Associated with project since initiation and finally held the
position of Program Director of Mumbai, Delhi And Pune field offices. The project’s purpose was
to test the Hypothesis of Kothari Commission “ if School And Community come together and
help each other then School can become focal centre of the development of
neighborhood”.
The project had Budget of 1.5 crores and Staff strength was 118.(Period 1984-1996)
2. Worked as Manager Charitable trusts of Garware group companies.(1997-1999)
3. Worked as General Manager of Community Relations Department of Metropolitan Gas
Pvt.Ltd. Subsidiary of Enron(from 1999-2002)
4.Worked as a consultant with Life Trust,Forum for Democratic Alternative,CFN.
5. Associated with EDUCO, voluntary organization, managing Mumbai Public School of MCGM
in Lalbaug area under School Support Program scheme of MCGM. Responsibility to liaison
with MCGM ,Dept.Of education(period of one year)
While working as lecturer worked with several Ngo’s in the States of Madhya Pradesh, Kerala,
Andhra Pradesh working in the field of Education as voluntary worker
