Started today. As we read through these documents, answer

I am going to hit the most important points from this period in
history.
Axis Aggression Take Aways
• Before Starting WWII, Japan, Italy and Germany all test the
surrounding countries to see what they will do.
• Japan invades Korea, Manchuria and China for resources and power
– The USA does nothing in exchange for control of the Philippines.
– Europe remains uninterested.
• Italy invades Ethiopia
– Ethiopia asks the League of Nations for help, but the countries of
the League can’t agree on what to do and do nothing.
• Germany invades the Rhineland, Austria, and the Sudetenland.
– The countries of Europe do nothing, afraid that Germany will
start a war they aren’t ready to fight.
– The countries of Europe eventually call the Munich Conference
and decide to sacrifice Czechoslovakia to Germany in exchange
for peace.
