She is thankful for our support of the one school one book program. We are all invited to observe the Beacon Hill Extreme Team assembly tomorrow, and Mrs. Whittaker is thankful that the PTO is paying for the team’s transportation. Standardized testing will be very different this year. Part of the assessment is given on the computer and is adaptive, like MAPS is. Another part of the assessment is a Performance Task that is based on a classroom discussion, and then moves to the computer. Test results will be available before the end of the school year. Students who test below grade level will have a parentteacher-administrator meeting to develop a learning plan. Spring conferences are the 16th and 17th of April. The levee was a replacement levee that will continue the old levee. The levees will replace the high school roof, and provide chrome books district wide. The elementary school specifically will have 3 carts, each with 25 chrome books, and each classroom will also have 5 chrome books. The elementary school should also have wi-fi school-wide before school starts for the 2015-2016 school year. The PTO is still committed to buying tablets for kindergarten and first grade.
