Job Description:

NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join us in the position of Coordinator, Content

Communications .

The Coordinator, Content Communications, located in the Daytona Beach, will be responsible for assisting Manager, Content Communications, with creating new and expanded features for

NASCAR’s best-in-class media website, including photo galleries, infographics, editorial nuggets, video and other creative enhancements.Will also conduct proactive media outreach, assist with the development of short and long-term editorial content calendar, as well as help manage track facilities planning, at-track photography and statistical operation duties. As a member of Content Communications, this position will support communications efforts across all IMC units and lead integration efforts.

Assist, when needed, with other IMC responsibilities such as traditional media monitoring, compiling target media lists and program recaps for outreach campaigns, statistics, among other tasks.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Assist with audio / video editing, photography, statistics, and posting content to our bestin-class media website in the office and at-home or at-track during race weekends

Assist with the creating, producing and editing of key documents and presentations for

IMC utilizing key software like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop,

Adobe Audition and Adobe InDesign

Proof emails and upload on the website for press releases and media alerts

Provide staffing support for competition and non-competition events, including traveling to select races

Actively participate and contribute to the development of Content Communications marketing / communication plans, ideation sessions and weekly all-IMC outreach and team meetings

Assist in the drafting of written materials, including but not limited to pitch documents, press releases, message points, social media posts at-track, traditional media monitoring and campaign recap reports

 Help mine for and identify rich story-telling opportunities that convey NASCAR’s ontrack and off-track attributes and communicates key messages

 Develop a personal network of traditional and non-traditional media contacts to utilize in

 daily proactive outreach efforts

Strategically place positive news, sports, feature, business and lifestyle stories with national and major market print, broadcast and online media

 Work with Manager to create and distribute monitoring reports and other weekly national series reports

 Participate in the quantitative and qualitative measurement and analysis of the return on

 investment of various IMC-driven programs and initiatives

Assist with all Content Communications' needs in the IMC department, managing relationships with media partners and at-track statistical operation duties

40% travel required (including weekends)

Required skills/experience:

 Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and one year of experience in

Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Public Affairs, and/or Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Sports, agency, and/or in-house experience working on big brands required. Integrated marketing communications experience a plus.

 To perform this job successfully, an individual must be a self-starter, entrepreneurial and able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience in pitching and placing stories and influencing coverage across all

 media. A preliminary list of media contacts in sports, entertainment, lifestyle and digital media is preferred, but not required. Must have a strong interest and experience using various digital and social media platforms.

Ideal candidate must have a can do attitude and work ethic; solid written and oral communications skills; excellent organizational and time management; demonstrate the ability to work in a high-paced environment and juggle multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to read, write and converse in Spanish is a plus.

Proficient on Company provided hardware and software and the Internet. Also requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as a working knowledge of audio and video editing software, Internet-based website administrative tools and Photoshop.
