The mission of the Student Nursing
Association of Texas A&M University –
Corpus Christi is to bring together prenursing and nursing students in order to
educate and empower students to be
proactive in their nursing education and to
help students succeed in their professional
endeavors. It is our goal to provide social,
educational, and volunteer opportunities
that will enable students to establish
mutual and beneficial relationships with
colleagues and nurse professionals in the
community and around the state.
 To be considered
an active

hour requirements
(4 hours/semester)

Effective as of October 25, 2011, All Student Nurses’
Association members will be encouraged to attend
all SNA meetings with the allowance of two
absences for extenuating circumstances. If a
member is unable to attend at least two meetings,
he/she must discuss the conditions with the officers
for reasons they cannot attend the meeting or
meetings. Such allowable excuses include class
schedule, prior commitments to work, child care,
and/or other justifiable situations. The member’s
absence will result in an extra hour volunteer
commitment with each meeting missed. If a member
cannot meet these requirements, the member will no
longer be eligible to receive full credit as an SNA
member for that semester, but will be eligible to
