PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
When the world is dynamic, the only thing constant is “change”. Centre Point College, is now, City
Premier College, as approved by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. Along with the
change in the name, we have also brought massive change in the setup and infrastructure refreshing the
college environment.
City Premier College is a pioneering institute in Commerce and Management education which imparts
education with a special blend of technology and tradition. Known for its endeavour in creating a
platform for students to take a leap, in not only academics but also their all round development.
A team of efficient teachers, professionals and experts are always ready to take up various challenging
tasks. The environment of the institute is seen to be believed.
In today's stressful world, academics and co-curricular activities are conducted in such a way that, it
exerts no strain in the students mind.
With decent infrastructure, modern equipments, huge space and above all a great team of talented
teachers, there is no doubt in my mind that we will achieve everything that we have aimed in our

About us
“CPC” – A TRUE DESTINATION FOR MEANINGFUL EDUCATION
City Premier College, is a centrally located unit of Late. M D Gandhe Memorial Education Society.
Affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, it has fostered a strong reputation as one
of the leading College of the region. It has all the resources and infrastructure required for finest quality
of education. The vast experience of the college management members is reflected in vision, mission
and approach of the college.
The college provides education for BBA, B.COM, B.COM (Computer Applications), BCA, PGDCCA & MCM.
It also houses an MBA program of YCMOU. The meteoric rise in the number of students since last
decade is not without reasons. The college holds premier position in university as far as results are
concerned. The students are given ample tutorials, practical hours and library time to substantiate their
knowledge and skills. In an atmosphere of mutual respect, teachers & students interact freely. Various
seminars, conferences, workshops and guest lectures are organized to elevate self esteem of the
students.
Constant evaluation is done by way of classroom tests, unit and terminal tests, viva-voce technique, etc.
Parents are given feedback about students attendance and performance.
Remedial classes are conducted to ensure that even the low scoring students fall in line with the college
standards. A novel program JFP, “Just for Paper” is conducted for the benefit of the students.
The Parents role, in student's development is of prime importance. Parent-Teachers meet are regularly
conducted to apprise the parents about their wards performance.
Various competitions and programs viz. Sports Week, Annual Day, Fresher's Day, Farewell, Debates,
Elocution competitions, etc. are organized to take care of all round development of the students. This
helps the students in getting better placements.

RESOURCES
Classroom - It is a core place for studies. College has well ventilated classrooms with comfortable seating
arrangement. Every classroom has LCD multimedia projector and public address system.
Library - Along with faculty, college library is the most important pillar of strength of our college. It
houses over 3200 books and subscribes to many journals, periodicals and newspapers. 'Our library
functions on the basis of open access system'. The library activities are meticulously planned through
iON campus management solution. The students are provided computer facility with internet
connectivity to access journals.
Computer Lab - The college has computer labs with Wi-Fi system for accessing the internet. Students of
all course programs are trained to horn their skills at this centre. Students stay abreast with the latest
developments in the world of Information Technology.
Auditorium - A new auditorium is ready for the use from the new session.
Canteen - College canteen provides variety of snacks at reasonable rates. It is a popular spot for social
interaction and intellectual debates amongst both students and teachers.
Photocopying - These services are made available to the students in the college premises itself.
Medical Facility - Separate medical room is provided for first aid treatment.
Sports Room - Separate sports room houses sports equipments and gears.
Special Rooms - Exclusive rooms for meeting and interaction with the faculties.
Staff Rooms - College has comfortable staff room on every floor, each with computers and internet
facility. These are useful places for teachers for intellectual interaction amongst themselves as well as

UNIQUE FEATURES
1. Faculty Development Programme - CPC conducts “Faculty Development Programme” with the
ultimate objective to upgrade the teachers knowledge and enhance teaching skills with the latest
techniques. Emphasis is laid on emanative teaching methodology to provide the best learning facility to
the students.
2. YCMOU Study Centre (Distance Learning) - CPC is also a centre for M.B.A. and M.COM courses of
Yashwantrao Chavan Maharastra Open University (Distance Learning). Counseling sessions are held on
Saturdays and Sundays by well qualified counselors to solve the difficulties of the students and the
working professional.
3. Placement Cell - It is a separate unit which guides the students in their placements and summer
training. The College also organizes Pre-Placement talks for the students, to help them getting
placements in the best organizations.
4. Merit Based Scholarship - The college also offers attractive scholarships to the new entrants in all
streams on the basis of their academic performance in the qualifying examination.
5. Learning Support Activity - Various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities conducted in the

EVENTS – 2013 AT A GLANCE
1. Paricharcha : Guest lectures by experts from different fields expose the students to the prevailing
scenario and help them upgrade their knowledge.
2. Fresher's Party “Parichay”: A program for introduction of new entrants. The fresher's are warm
heartedly welcomed by the seniors and the staff members.
3. Independence Day : The students and teachers celebrate Independence Day with great enthusiasm to
show respect and love for the country.
4. Inter College debate Competition: It provides a platform to the students to speak on various topics. It
also encourages the students to take up new challenges in the present competitive world.
5. General Knowledge Competition: Competitions like these help the students to prepare themselves for
various competitive exams. It motivates them to keep themselves updated with the current events.
6. Annual Day : A day organized with great efforts by the students with the help of the teachers. It helps
the students to portray their creativity through their dances, skits, songs, etc.
7. Sports Star : A three day mega event wherein the students and also the Staff members participate in
various competitions with full enthusiasm and team spirit.
8. Street Play Competition : Organized on Republic Day to instill a sense of integrity towards our country
& society.
9. Dahi Handi and Gopal Kala Competition : Students take active participation. These events helps to
imbibe our rich traditions and customs in the minds of the students.
10. Late M.D.Gandhe Memorial Cricket Cup : A tennis ball Cricket Cup organized in the college premises.
The staff and the students both participate with great enthusiasm.
11. Girls Box Cricket : We in CPC belive that girls are no less to boys and thus to encourage them “Girls
Box Cricket” is organized in the college.
12. “Alvida”: Farewell programme set up by the juniors with great love for their seniors.
13. National Service Scheme (NSS): City's Premier College takes active participation in providing Social
Service under the banner of “National Service Scheme”. The NSS unit comprising of College Students
work under the able guidance of the teachers and the principal of the college. The students and the
teachers take relentless efforts to work for the underprivileged and disadvantaged section of the
society. The NSS unit organizes programmes like Blood Donation Camp, Dental Check up Camp, etc. Our
students also participated in the 'Save Nag River' campaign organized by the Times of India. It celebrated
Rakshabandhan in Nagpur Central Jail to develop a sense of belonging and social responsibility.

OUR NEW INITIATIVE
FLIP – FOCUS TO LIVEN AND INSPIRE PEOPLE
FLIP is a new initiative started by CPC this year. FLIP, like the name suggests, exhorts the students to
explore the “flip’’side of their persona. It is a program to enable them to have an outside-in and insideout approach to themselves, their environment and also their talents.
It is the need of the hour to make the students versatile, confident and well-informed to make them
employable and industry ready. FLIP aims to hone the entrepreneurial skills of the students and also
acquaint them with the varied career oppurtunities available to them in the industrial landscape.
