and the Operational Team are planning working sessions in Bergen. More information about Team meetings will be posted
here as it becomes available.
Day 2 (Oct. 14 in Houston, Nov. 12 in Bergen) is planned for a general SIG meeting with time for team break-out sessions.
One of the primary purposes of Day 2 will be to review the results of the DOFF Program Leaders' PRODML Advisory Group,
which sets out a refreshed vision and identifies several key, critical work processes as focus areas for PRODML Standards to
support over the next two years.
In Bergen, each meeting day will begin at 9:00 am and conclude at 4:00 pm.
Preliminary Draft Agenda
Meeting Themes:
 Planning PRODML Standards activities for 2010.
o Activities to encourage and support greater use of current capabilities
o Activities that achieve the objectives set out in the recently published high-level business-oriented
roadmap from the PRODML Advisory Group made up of representatives from the "Digital Oil Field of the
Future (DOFF)" programs of the seven PRDOML SIG energy companies.
 Understand, clarify, and respond the Advisory Group roadmap [Word File, 474 KB]
o Ensure that all SIG member companies understand the roadmap and its recommendations
o Identify questions and issue to raise within the SIG and/or with the Advisory Group
 Schedule focused meetings with SIG members, especially suppliers, to ensure that there is
sufficient appreciation for the commitment and objectives expressed in the roadmap to lead to
an optimal level of involvement and support.
o Formulate a constructive response to the roadmap mainly in the form of a plan of activities that seeks to
achieve what has been proposed taking into account SIG member suggestions for refinement
 Progress through a step-wise elaboration starting from the roadmap recommendations,
 identifying reference use cases that exhibit the key critical work processes embodied
in the roadmap,
 identifying the important interoperable interactions
 for these interactions identify the kinds of software components involved and the
requirements for PRODML capabilities -- services / interfaces and data (coverage,
structure, and semantics)
 for these capabilities, determine the incremental needs for expanded, refined, and/or
new elements in the PRODML Standards
 Determine an approach to not only defining expanded, refined, and/or new elements but
demonstrating the use of 'enhanced' PRODML Standards by a combination of SIG collaborative
implementations using virtual producing field scenarios and SIG member hosted
implementations using real or adapted producing field scenarios.
 define resource requirements (skilled manpower, business participation, additional
funding, etc.) and seek commitments with the assistance of the Advisory Group,
Energistics management and board, etc.
 Ongoing work by PRODML SIG teams.
o Use Case and Marketing Team: marketing activities, service company data activities, etc.
o Specifications Team: next Data release (v1.3) activities, 'bug-fix' Services release (v2.0.1) activities
o Component Type Sub-team: validation and refinement of production component type vocabulary
