NT101: Fall 2014
Preparation for Exam #3:
Take-Home Exam (BBG, through ch. 9)
Exam Instructions:
Exam #3 will follow the same format as the previous exam: forms, grammar, parsing, and
translation. Simply repeat your previous study strategy: rememorize the forms, review respective
grammar, review vocabulary, and practice parsing and translation. The main differences between
this exam and the former will be a slightly larger forms section and a slightly larger grammar
section. We have covered additional forms and grammar since our last test.
I will upload the exam document to a group email toward the middle of next week. Since this is a
take-home exam, you will have some flexibility concerning your test time. Here is what I would
ask of you: (1) keep all textbooks, lexicons, etc. away during the your chosen exam time (we are
using the honor system); (2) complete the exam in one sitting; (3) find a quiet place free of
distractions and temptations (e.g., local public library, the church library, your home study,
Chuck E. Cheese's, James' wedding reception, etc.); (4) print and complete a hardcopy version of
the test by hand (if you don't have the technological capability for this, please inform me or
another student so that we can make special provisions for you); (5) scan/email me your
completed copy of the exam by midnight of Nov. 15th (again, if you don't have scan/email
capability, let me or another student know).
Please complete exam by Saturday, Nov. 15th. Thanks for working together with me on this.
