Strategy and Implementation Summary
JavaNet has three main strategies. The first strategy focuses on attracting novice Internet users.
By providing a novice friendly environment, JavaNet hopes to educate and train a loyal customer
base.
The second, and most important, strategy focuses on pulling in power Internet users, extremely
familiar with the Internet and its offerings. This group of customers serves an important function
at JavaNet. Power users have knowledge and web-browsing experience that novice Internet users
find attractive and exciting.
The third strategy focuses on building a social environment for JavaNet customers. A social
environment, that provides entertainment, will serve to attract customers that wouldn't normally
think about using the Internet.
1- Strategy Pyramid
The following subtopics provide an overview of JavaNet's three key strategies. Strategy pyramid
graphics are presented in the appendix of this plan.
1- Attract Power Internet Users
JavaNet's second strategy will be focused on attracting power Internet users. Power Internet
users provide an important function at JavaNet. JavaNet plans on attracting this type of customer
by: •Providing the latest in computing technology.
•Providing scanning and printing services.
•Providing access to powerful software applications.
2- SWOT Analyses
The SWOT analysis provides us with an opportunity to examine the internal strengths and
Weaknesses JavaNet must address. It also allows us to examine the opportunities presented to
JavaNet as well as potential threats.
5
JavaNet has a valuable inventory of strengths that will help it succeed. These strengths include: a
knowledgeable and friendly staff, state-of-the-art computer hardware, and a clear vision of the
market need. JavaNet's strengths will help it capitalize on emerging opportunities. These
opportunities include, but are not limited to, a growing population of daily Internet users, and the
growing social bonds fostered by the new Internet communities.
3- Weaknesses
1. A dependence on quickly changing technology. JavaNet is a place for people to experience the
technology of the Internet. The technology that is the Internet changes rapidly. Product lifecycles
are measured in weeks, not months. JavaNet needs to keep up with the technology because a lot
of the JavaNet experience is technology.
2. Cost factor associated with keeping state-of-the-art hardware. Keeping up with the technology
of the Internet is an expensive undertaking. JavaNet needs to balance technology needs with the
other needs of the business. One aspect of the business can't be sacrificed for the other.
.
5.2.3 Threats
1. Rapidly falling cost of Internet access. The cost of access to the Internet for home users is
dropping rapidly. Internet access may become so cheap and affordable that nobody will be
willing to pay for access to it. JavaNet is aware of this threat and will closely monitor pricing.
2. Emerging local competitors. Currently, JavaNet is enjoying a first-mover advantage in the
local cyber-cafe market. However, additional competitors are on the horizon, and we need to be
prepared for their entry into the market. Many of our programs will be designed to build
customer loyalty, and it is our hope that our quality service and up-scale ambiance won't be
easily duplicated.
6
4- Strengths
1-Knowledgeable and friendly staff. We've gone to great lengths at JavaNet to find people with a
passion for teaching and sharing their Internet experiences. Our staff is both knowledgeable and
eager to please.
2. State-of-the art equipment. Part of the JavaNet experience includes access to state-of-the-art
computer equipment. Our customers enjoy beautiful flat-screen displays, fast machines, and
high-quality printers (Franka,2005).
4-Distinguish among the stakeholders’ key roles and responsibilities.
As a business owner, the responsible for all roles, all projects, and all employees he/she will
going to occupy .The business owner the only one who responsible for the business operation
and existence.
1-The law: although if the business owner plans to have a lawyer, he/she still have to know
about the law, to prepare contracts a and understanding all of the employment laws to
hire someone.
2-Business planner: Making and taking care of business plan and strategies is another role that
have to do constantly every time business owner set or change some new or existing goals.
Making the plan and its execution, its follow-up, it’s controlling, all of those will be business
owner .responisiblites.Researcher & analyst: Before start the business, business owner' will have
to find who/what the market segment by exploring and analyzing the market.
3-Marketing, advertising & sales executive: Following up the marketing or advertising
campaign, you'll be responsible to; write advertising copy, visit potential customers, and make
sure existing customers on highest satisfaction, sales force and maintain marketing network.
4- Tax collector If the business owner sells goods at the retail level, business owner responsible
7
for collecting sales tax, also business owner responsible for collecting payroll taxes from
employees.
5-Safety issues which is one of the of the most important role and responsibility the business
owner has to take care of (Liu).
The bank role as a stakeholder with JavaNet coffee project to monitor the business and their
responsibly to provide the money on time to the business owner to start his/her project, and keep
the client information’s secured.
Employees
Employees are responsible for carrying out the tasks specified in the company’s strategic
plan in an efficient manner. Employees are the closest to the action. They interact with customers
on a daily basis. In a manufacturing environment.
Customers
The reason for a java net existence is to provide products or services that meet the needs of its
target customers and benefit them in a meaningful way. The role of customers is critical to the
project survival and success. Through the purchase decisions they make each day, they select
which companies will prosper and which will fail. They also provide valuable feedback to the
project about its products and customer service level.
Vendors/suppliers/sub-contractors
Java net ability to fill its customer orders on time -- and bring the highest quality goods to
the marketplace -- depends in part on the role its vendors or suppliers play. Java net relies
upon raw materials or components being available when they are needed and at reasonable
prices. If the supply of one key item is interrupted, it can cause a disruption in the project
entire manufacturing schedule. Vendors also play a role of introducing new applications or
8
solutions to the project so, it can become more efficient, more productive and lower its costs –
and increase its margins and profits.
5-Organize the project’s risks, issues, and assumptions by priority and justify the ranking
of each.
