Prophetic messages were not written in one writing instead they were collected over a time and then organized in
different subjects
Prophetic messages were written in different styles e.g. narratives letter sprayers etc
Some prophetic messages were written by the prophets themselves following Gods command
Some prophets dictated their messages to their disciples /scribes e.g. Jeremiah
Some prophetic messages were preserved by their disciples who passed them over to other generations who wrote
them as oracles
The scribes re- organized the prophets teaching according to the subject matter

In the Sinai covenant there was communal responsibility of sin but the new covenant would have individual
responsibility
 Sinaitic covenant was sealed with the blood of animals while the new covenant would be sealed by the blood of

 Increase in trial marriages where people live together for a short time to see if it will work
 Influence of western culture which portrays payment of dowry as buying or selling of the bride
 The woman liberation movement rejects dowry payment. Career woman and men ignore payment of dowry.
