WORKSHOP PROGRAM Dear colleagues, It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the training workshop entitled “Functional analysis of CNS-infiltrating cells during the development of CNS autoimmunity, injury and repair” to be held in Athens, Greece between Tuesday, December 4th and Friday, December 7th 2012. This workshop is organized and funded within the framework of the EU 7th Framework Program Capacities project “NeuroSign” granted to three neuroscience laboratories of the HPI headed by Socrates Tzartos (coordinator), Rebecca Matsas and Lesley Probert. The program of this workshop has been prepared in order to span the stateof-the-art knowledge in the development of neuroimmune pathologies of the central nervous system together with hands-on practicals in current investigative techniques. Lectures are to be delivered by an international cast of leading experts in neuroimmunology and related fields. The aim is to promote and encourage awareness in the field and cooperation amongst aspiring and established neuroimmunologists. The workshop is open to young scientists at every level upon registration without fees and offers the opportunity to a limited number of highly motivated students to participate in afternoon practical sessions. Attendees are also welcome to present their work as a poster. For participation a completed registration form and required documents should be sent to Vivian Tseveleki (vtseveleki@pasteur.gr). All plenary sessions will be held at the Auditorium of Hellenic Pasteur Institute, Building 8, Program of Practical sessions will be announced 1st DAY, 4 December, Tuesday BASIC & CLINICAL ASPECTS OF IMMUNE-MEDIATED CNS DISEASE 09:00-09:30 REGISTRATION (Auditorium, Building 8) 09:30-09:40 WELCOME- OPENING REMARKS: Socrates Tzartos, Coordinator of “Neurosign”, Hellenic Pasteur Institute 09:40-10:25 PLENARY SESSION- Chairs: L.
