In Canada he served in the Anglican Diocese of Huron, centred on London, Ontario, both in Parish ministry, Intentional Interim Ministry as the Bishop's representative, and latterly, as the chaplain of a 350 bed care home in Guelph, Ontario. Tom has a wide variety of life experiences, including owning his own retail business for 12 years, and 35 years of experience with the Scout Association in Canada, both as a section leader, with young people aged 7 - 26 years of age, as well as serving as a District president overseeing 1000 members, and as a Regional Vice-President helping to oversee 12,000 members. Tom is currently the Rector and Parish Priest of Holy Trinity and St Barnabas Scottish Episcopal Church, just across from the Western end of the Gilmour Street Rail Station. Venerable Rewatha Kamburawala – Buddhist – rewathak@yahoo.com A monk of the Theravada tradition for 34 years, a qualified religious education teacher, published writer, experienced Mindfulness teacher for over 25 years. The founder of Scotland Buddhist Vihara ( Sri Lankan Buddhist Temple) and Glasgow Mindfulness Centre. Rev Robert Craig – Church of Scotland – rcraig@churchofscotland.org.uuk Robert is a Church of Scotland (Presbyterian) parish minister at Paisley Stow Brae Kirk. His previous ministry was a priority area ministry in Lanarkshire and he was involved in Prison Chaplaincy at HMP Addiewell. Prior to ministry he worked in construction management and in Explosive Ordnance Disposal in the Army. He has studied Social Sciences , Theology, World Religions and Counselling with the University of Paisley, the Open Univesity and the University of Glasgow. The Humanist Society of Scotland works to promote a society in which there is equal treatment of everyone, regardless of outlook on life, religion, sexual orientation and nationality. We believe in equality and respect for all humans. We seek to influence public policy in Scotland and campaign on many issues. On the basis of reason, ethics, philosophy and humanity we aim to reflect the views of millions of people living in Scotland who wish to lead ethical and fulfilling lives. I have a Diploma in Social Work, trained as a mental health officer and counsellor, worked with Scottish Women’s Aid and was brought up in Zambia. I also have 3 children and eight grandchildren, two at University. We believe that during this one life we have, we must work to make it happy, and that this comes into effect from helping other people. Yossi is a graduate of the Ohr Lagolah Hertz Rabbinic Leadership Programme where he recently received Semicha from Rab Zalman Nechmia Goldberg of the Jerusalem Beth Din, a Bachelor of Arts in Judaic Studies from Tanenbaum College and a Teaching Certificate from the Israeli Government. With a background in youth work, Yossi complemented his rabbinic studies working with American university students visiting Israel on a short term programme. Quakers worship mainly in silence with occasional ministry from individual members. They do not have priests as they believe that each person can have a direct relationship with God and that there is something of God in everyone. They are perhaps best known for their pacifism and their work in prisons, as well as for gender equality and other areas of social reform.
