BEFIT KILLEEN is the top training facility in central Texas with the most educated staff
and experience with a combined 20 years in the fitness industry having trained over 900

Who We Are & Why You Should Listen:
My name is Ashlee Alfred, born and raised in the Central Texas Area. Also known as Nikki and my maiden name is Nejtek. I have been in the fitness industry
for over 12 years and have worked every position in the gym from kids club & front desk to Senior Management. I have worked at over 4 different chains of
"big box" gyms giving me invaluable experience in the fitness industry. I have built 4 different personal training departments from the ground up and set
record breaking personal training department revenues at each location. After years of working in corporate, my husband and I decided to take a step out of
corporate and open our own facility, BEFIT, in 2013. I also began competing in women's bodybuilding, physique, and fitness swimsuit competitions at this
time. After finding a new passion in this arena I began researching and further educating myself about the processes of building a winning stage physique. We
quickly began to put our research and knowledge to the test creating a bodybuilding team of athletes. We have trained over 1000 clients ranging from 9 -80
years of age totaling over 9500 hours of private and group training sessions with groups as large as 35 people.

"MY WHY:"
I started in fitness as way to find a healthy lifestyle for myself. I was always an athlete in high school and college. However after a year into college, I quickly
found myself involved with the wrong crowd and in the wrong relationships. I saw my life slipping away from me and my health suffering greatly as a result. I
come from a family that is the polar opposite of my current lifestyle, and I saw myself beginning to follow these footsteps. I knew I did not want that for
myself or my daughters future. I knew I had to change for the better. Growing up and seeing so many people suffer from self inflicted, self destructive habits
that have caused them and their families great turmoil and physical stress, I envisioned a different way of life. I was determined to do better and become
better. With that motivation, I cleaned up my act, left everything behind, moved out of state, started back in school. Became a certified trainer and never
looked back. Years later I have put myself through graduate school, earned Presidential Scholar and graduated Magna Cum Laude. I am currently working on
my Doctorate degree from Hunnington College of Health Sciences in Integrative Healthcare with a focus in Clinical Nutrition. Currently I posses a variety of
certifications and will continue to educate myself forever. I have learned that there is nothing you cannot accomplish if you put your mind to it and put in the
hard work. Success will come if you are willing to work hard and never give up. The only way you won't accomplish your goal is if you quit. It's that simple.

Who We Are & Why You Should Listen:
My name is Rodney and I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I enlisted in The United States Army in 2000 and have been in the
Central Texas area ever since. My background and experience with fitness started after doing a tour as a Drill Sergeant in the Army.
During my tour, I assisted numerous individuals to meet and surpass their fitness goals. I also have experience in training for football
combines due to several years of college, arena, and semi-pro football. I’m a two time Texas United Football League All-Star, and one
time STAF all-star defensive end. While playing for the Killeen Revolution, we won the STAF national championship and played for the
overall National Championship in 2012. I am a nationally qualified men's physique competitor compete in various bodybuilding
leagues. My background, experience, and specializations include sports performance enhancements, training and nutritional
counseling for military personnel with a goal of passing military physical fitness test, youth sport performance enhancement,
strength/weight gains, speed/conditioning, and bodybuilding contest prep.

My “WHY:”
My fitness journey started when I left active duty military. After I left the military I continued a lot of bad habits that became routine
for my lifestyle. I ate fast food everyday and drank alcohol every night and I did very little exercise. Around early 2005 I noticed I
started feeling tightness in my chest and I was always short of breath. I went to the Veterans Hospital for a routine check up and the
doctor told me I had high blood pressure, borderline high cholesterol and I was on the path to have a stroke before the age of 30
years old. My visit to the doctor scared me and I started studying on how to eat better and workout. I lost over 40 pounds within the
first year and I found myself addicted to the fitness lifestyle. Fitness is my passion and I love helping people reach their fitness goals!
Now 10 years I accomplished many great things along my fitness journey. I met my beautiful wife that help direct and mentor me
towards my first Men’s Physique Bodybuilding show, where I took 2nd overall . I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Too many people have a stuck mindset, and not a lifestyle outlook. You are either stuck yo-yo dieting, trying the
next fat burner or gadget. At BEFIT we try to encompass total body health and fitness including your mindset.
You cannot think “when I lose 10 lbs I’ll be happy and then I’ll be done. Wrong. You’re never done. You can be
happy now, but the pursuit of your health is never ending. We all age, environments change, and we must
continually strive to better our lifestyles for the rest of our lives. By thinking of fitness as a race with a finish line
we are essentially saying “ok, I give up now.”
Most people lack the will power, self drive, or knowledge to make the right choices. BEFIT encourages and
inspires trying to create that self-drive and motivation that we know you need and you will have to find it
within you. We have the knowledge and we will share it with you but true motivation must come from within
you!
Most people are bombarded with advice from anyone like friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, the yoga
instructor, cashier, supplement guy, and everyone in our social media news feed. However most of these
people lack the same knowledge or credentials to even be giving advice yet they still do and sometimes you
listen! We provide scientifically sound nutrition and exercise programming to help clear the clutter and sift
through the poor information out there for you.
Injuries/Illnesses/Pain prevents so many people from trying to workout or eat healthier because of fear. Fear
they will fail, fear they will get hurt, fear they will hurt themselves with a bad diet or supplement. These are all
normal and logical fears but fears that can be easily eliminated by seeking professional guidance. BEFIT has
worked with literally hundreds of various injuries, illnesses, disabilities, allergies, and other lifestyles such as
vegan, Paleo, etc. We will help you get on the right path to your health and fitness goals, strengthen your body
to alleviate joint pain, help regulate bodily functions to prevent/slow down disease, and provide professional
advice when medical treatment is necessary.
Health and Fitness Myth’s
• Thinking you only need cardio (dance, running, bike, treadmill). Wrong.
• Think you can workout to lose weight and not change your diet. Wrong.
• Thinking that lifting weights will make you bulky. Wrong. Unless you’re a
man, eat 3000 calories/day, or max out every week.
• Thinking that cupcakes don’t make you bulky. Wrong. Sugar makes you big
(fact)
• Thinking that you can starve yourself with drastic calorie reduction (HCG, no
carb, etc) and lose bodyfat and be healthy. Wrong.
• Thinking that once you hit your goal, you can quit everything you started
and maintain. Wrong. You will go right back to where you started.
• I need to get in shape before I get a trainer. Wrong. That’s our job and let’s
face it, if you where going to do it, it would already be done.
• Think your too old to get in shape, lose weight, or go to the gym. Wrong. It’s
all in your head. You can change your life at any age, but YOU have to want
it.
So Where Do You Start?
At BEFIT, or course!!
Start and master these basics and then we will do rest for you!
Water- drink 1 gallon per day (cut out everything that has sugar in it, even juice!)
Multivitamin-get it and take it everyday (wait on all the fancy stuff until you fix your
nutrition)
Sleep-get at least 7 hours per night (cut off the damn TV!)
Eat Breakfast- every single day, no matter what! Even if its just a protein shake.
Clean up your act and clean out your pantry and anywhere else you have food-trash
the trash! If you can’t pronounce the ingredients or you don’t know what they are
then its TRASH! Keep only REAL foods and products that have a good nutritional
value. Download the app fooducate.com and you can scan any product and it will
rate if with a grade from A to D.
Do some form of exercise for at least 20 min every day 7 days per week no matter
what. We don’t sugar coat it. I’m not going to tell you that exercise 2-3x a week for
20 min is enough because its not! Get up and move your butt!
Get help if you need it! Be honest with yourself. If you need a gym because your not
going to do all those videos at your house, then go get a membership. If you need a
trainer, get one. If you need a therapist because there are deep underlying root
problems, then make the step and go get one. It makes no sense to continue down
a unhealthy negative path.
