Job Description:
Teledyne Technologies is a leading provider of sophisticated instrumentation,

Essential Functions:
- Prepare workpapers for Federal, State and local income and franchise tax
returns;
- Review federal and state tax returns prepared by the outside tax return
provider;
- Prepare international returns – Forms 5471 and 8858;
- Prepare extension and quarterly estimated tax payments calculations and
vouchers;
- Prepare various non-income tax returns;
- Provide support and analysis for federal and state audits;
- Prepare state apportionment workpapers;
- Assist with multi-state nexus review and state throwback analysis;
- Prepare section 199 workpapers;
- Review fixed assets federal and state depreciation calculation in BNA software;
- Interface effectively with other members of the accounting department to
ensure necessary tax information is efficiently generated and shared among
compliance and provision teams;
- Conduct tax research using online tools and resources;
- Assist provision team with preparation of annual and quarterly worldwide tax
provisions, including obtaining key data inputs from Teledyne business units;
- Continuously improve Corptax utilization and tax return preparation processes;
specifically the automation of key data inputs/processes;
- Assist the Associate Director with special projects as needed;
- Position may require additional hours spent above the standard 40hrs per week
when pressed for deadlines and business decisions;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Business, or related field;
- CPA preferred;
- 3+ years of experience with a strong emphasis on corporate federal and state
income tax compliance;
- Corptax software experience;
- BNA Fixed Assets software experience;
- Tax Research Tools (RIA Checkpoint) experience;
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills;
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
- Experience with working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
