Duties: - Upload of the business units’ trial balances into Corptax and ensuring the proper classification and mapping of tax-sensitive accounts. - Assist in the preparation of full quarterly worldwide tax provisions, including obtaining key data inputs from Teledyne business units. - Assist in the analysis of the activities in the tax accounts to ensure accuracy and that the transactions have been classified correctly and assist in the annual tax payable proof and rollover. - Improve documentation and analysis to support requirements of the financial statement auditors, including full supporting workpapers for deferred taxes, taxes payable and receivable, and FIN48 balances. - Assist with the FIN48 model current and updated for all items, compute the current year interest, and assist the Director with expected reversals to be included in the footnote disclosures along with other disclosure requirements. - Assist in the integration of acquired companies in Corptax for provisions. - Continuous improvement in Corptax and provision processes, specifically the automation of key data inputs/processes. - Assist the Associate Director in SOX testing of tax department controls with respect to income tax accounts. - Responsible for ensuring that the Corptax version used by the Company is current on all systems updates. - Assist the Associate Director and Sr. Tax Manager with special projects as needed. - Work the hours necessary when there are statutory or regulatory deadlines. - Additional hours above the standard 40 per week may be required when pressed for business and deadlines. - Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Preferred Qualifications: - Corptax Software experience - Accounting Degree - Advanced degree or CPA preferred - 3+years of experience with a strong emphasis on tax accounting issues - Strong US GAAP tax accounting (ASC 740) background with experience with uncertain tax positions - Some experience with US and multi-state tax regulations for C Corporations - Some understanding of international tax accounting issues - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral - Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment - BNA Fixed Assets Software experience - Tax Research Tools (RIA Checkpoint) experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. 3+years of experience with a strong emphasis on tax accounting issues For U.S. employment opportunities, Teledyne Technologies Incorporated hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, refugees, and temporary residents.
