SECTION III – PURITY
1 Thessalonians 4:3 “For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from
sexual immorality.”
We recognize that all people are sinners and that God desires us to “flee from the sin that so
easily entangles” and pursue Jesus. Please describe any sexual sin that may have an impact
on you during this program, as well as the frequency of your involvement. Please also
describe what you are currently doing to pursue holiness in these areas. An example would
be, “I have used pornography for years, and currently use it weekly. I have a peer group where
I can be open with my struggles and pray with weekly.” Or “Last year I ended an unhealthy
relationship with my ex-boyfriend/girlfriend. We had sex, but since have confided in a close
friend/staff member.” These answers will be kept confidential and gender specific. This will
not disqualify you from the program, but rather will help you be shepherded better over the
course of the summer.
SECTION IV – FINANCES
It is assumed most GSS applicants will raise financial support to cover the initial program fee.
Helpful information and resources on Biblical fundraising will be provided. Are you planning
to raise financial support?
(If yes, we will send you a packet of fundraising information. Choosing to partake in the Navigators biblical
funding model is character building in itself. For many, this sets the tone for the summer of stepping out in faith
and trusting God to provide. In addition, support raising is first rate training for other Navigators opportunities
such as Overseas Missions Trips and EDGE Corp.)
Do you have any special concerns in regard to fundraising?
If you do not plan on raising financial support, would you like to devote your wages over the
summer to paying for the program fee? You will need to provide 30% of the program fee upon
arrival.

SECTION V – MY COMMITMENT
In order to not disrupt the busy schedule and synergy of the program, it is our strong desire
you be present at GSS for the full summer. Will there be any unique family circumstances you
foresee needing to return home for during the summer? Please list all that apply and the
dates. (You will need to seek approval with the GSS director for any absences before the
program begins).
I verify that all of the following information provided is correct to the best of my knowledge. I
understand that the purpose of this program is to grow and develop Christ-like character and
vision for the glory of God and for a lifetime of fruitful ministry wherever He leads me. I
understand that it is a work/study program and that I will be working a set number of hours
each week. I also understand that I will be joined to a discipleship team as part of the
program, and I will do my best to support the team and be a vital contributor to it. In addition,
I will cooperate with the leadership and the authority of The Navigators. By God’s graces, I
will seek to be a positive influence at this program.
