OVERVIEW Learning Intention Success Criteria We are learning to explain the importance of the process journal and identify important components in each phase of the Personal Project Students will be successful when they can identify the important components of the process journal and revise their entries to include any missing information An evolving record of the activities that you complete to develop, achieve, and reflect upon your final project IS: THE PROCESS JOURNAL ◇Used throughout the project to document its development ◇An evolving record of intents, processes, and accomplishments ◇A place to record sources and maintain a bibliography ◇A place to store information qutoes, pictures, ideas, photographs ◇A means of exploring ideas and solutions ◇A place for evaluating work completed ◇Record of feedback and reflections IS NOT: ◇Written up after the process has been completed ◇Additional work on top of the project; it is part of and supports the project ◇A diary with detailed writing about what was done ◇A static document with only one format PROCESS JOURNAL: TYING IT ALL TOGETHER Final Product Process Journal Paper ➔ The process journal holds together your final product and your paper. This is where a lot of work in Personal Project goes. ◆ The final paper will consist of references to your process, and a reflection on that process ◆ The process journal is your way of keeping track of your progress toward your final product DO ALL OF MY PROCESS JOURNAL ENTRIES HAVE TO BE WRITTEN? Although most of the prompts that you will be given in ELO require a written response, you can (and should) include pictures, videos, etc. into your process journal.
