Your opportunity Operating from within the Water Supply division, this opportunity will see you having key involvement in the Brisbane River Catchment Flood Storage Infrastructure project. You will provide expert technical, project governance and project management advice on flood mitigation dam options to the highest levels in the Queensland Government and ensure the delivery of significant project outcomes. Key duties and accountabilities Work with the Chair of the Project Control Group to influence and provide high level advice to the Premier, Minister, Director-General, and Deputy Director-General on the best investment strategy in relation to flood mitigation, dam safety and public safety outcomes. Present a recommendation to the Queensland Government on the most appropriate flood mitigation storage infrastructure to progress to construction phase within a three year period, including dam safety upgrades and new dam options. Supervise preparation of the overall project plan and implementation strategies for management review and approval through the Project Control Group. Responsibility for delivering project outcomes within agreed timeframes and budget. Control the project through appropriate project management and engagement with DEWS and Seqwater. Provide strong project leadership, management and coordination to both DEWS and Seqwater multidisciplinary teams in relation to technical expertise, product knowledge, procurement and contracts management. Mandatory requirement/special conditions An engineering qualification and experience relevant to the planning, development and management of water supply dams and flood storage projects is mandatory.
