How We’re Growing This Week
Reading:
The last Reading Log for the 1st nine weeks is due by
Tuesday. Children must have turned in at least 6 of
the 7 weeks to receive extra credit. We will begin
reading Riding Freedom together in class together.
Word Study Test on suffixes is Thursday.
Social Studies:
Social Studies extra credit is due Tuesday. This week
we will begin the Westward Expansion unit. We will
build vocabulary for the unit and discuss the role of
geography in travel and settlement.
Math:

Digging Up Great
Websites
We have wrapped up our multiplication unit. The
students will test on Tuesday, October 22. We will
begin division on Wednesday. Math Review is due
on Friday.

use a combination of hands-on activities and
independent research to explore this topic. There is
a quiz scheduled for Friday, October 25. The
students must be able to label an animal cell. All
