THE ENTREPRENEURS EDGE Innovation Program 2010 Fall (2010) - Sessions on Managing Innovation Spring (2011) – Internships with Companies Managing Innovation INNOQUEST “Companies that create new innovations, spin off new businesses, or create new GENERAL DESCRIPTION businesses generate 30% more value than those companies that don’t.” – EDGE Research, 2009* *Based on a value metric created by EDGE which determines value of the company and value to the community. Never before has the imperative to innovate been more important. As companies strive to stay in business and grow in value, EDGE offers a program with the dual purpose to teach managers and graduate students how to manage innovation as well as implement innovation. InnoQuest is a unique partnership with universities, students and businesses. This accredited course on innovation is for graduate-level students and business managers. (Managers are invited to participate in one or more classes or enroll for the entire semester.) Participating practitioners facilitate each session and are leaders in their field – from companies like Nottingham-Spirk, Parker Hannifin, General Electric, Energizer, Goodyear, Step2 and more. EDGE facilitates and coordinates the program; practitioners of innovation teach the fall class sessions utilizing real-world case studies and providing hands-on problem solving techniques during class sessions.
