Course Requirements
Every student must
satisfactorily complete
each speech or
presentation.
Each student must take the
final exam.
Final Exam is open
notebook! (You may use
your study guides.)
Tests and Quizzes
Each unit will have a
study guide quiz and a
chapter test.
Study guide quizzes are
open notes.
No notes on chapter
tests!
Listening Points
Each student will be given 100/100 points at the
beginning of each marking period.
Any student that is not listening during speeches will
lose 5 points per action.
“I hate giving speeches…”
Penalties
 Failure to give your speech on your due
date will result in a deduction of 15%
each class period you are not prepared.

Chewing gum during your speech will
result in a 5-point deduction from your
speech grade.
Supplies
3 x 5 note cards
 You will use these for your speeches.
 I will try to provide as many as I can.
Notebooks
 This will be your main source of information.
 I will not collect notebooks, so you may share
with another subject.
