Goodies-to-Go Goodies-to-Go is a cost-effective catering service that accommodates on-campus orders for events. Goodies-to-Go offers breakfast and dessert menus, boxed lunches, lunch platters, pizza, snacks and dips, party platters and more. Customers can pick up their food or they can have it delivered at a specified time of the client’s choosing. Purchases include plates, cups, utensils, serving utensils, napkins, a tablecloth, and ice for beverages. Most menus can be altered to fit dietary needs. Food Court The food court at Stamp is a community-friendly environment. The Stamp Food Court has a variety of options for dining in or pick up. At the Co-Op, customers can get bagels, sandwiches, coffee, and many other vegetarian ad vegan-friendly foods at affordable prices Subway* Art and Learning Center (ALC) The Art and Learning Center offers non-credit classes to students, staff, and the public during the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters. Registration starts at the beginning of each semester and is open until classes are filled. Studio classes include photography, ceramics, drawing, painting, selfdevelopment, music and dance. Student Organizations can plan events with the The Art and Learning Center. Staff will arrange the activities, space, and refreshments. Activities include: Knitting /Jewelry Making / Tie Dye / Salsa Night / Ballroom Dancing / Belly Dancing / Tai Chi / Yoga / Jewelry Making / Drumming / Cooking / Craft Projects / and more… The Art and Learning Center also offers four one-week Summer Arts Camps. Stamp Gallery The Stamp Gallery provides an outside-of-the-classroom opportunity to experientially learn from the work of emerging and mid-career contemporary artists. The gallery’s meaningful art exhibits and programs challenge and engage viewers as well as address broad community and social issues that are current in today’s society. The gallery can serve as a laboratory for new and emerging artists and curators to work through their visions and ideas, demonstrating the importance of the artistic process. In addition to creating a workspace for artists, it also helps to create a forum within the artistic community to help create a dialogue between the artist and the viewer. It encourages discussion about social responsibility and artistic substance in an educational way. Terpzone The Terpzone, located in the basement of the Stamp, is home to our bowling alley, billiards, arcade, and lounge. Students, faculty, staff and alumni can enjoy all of these different features as well as the 120” Projection Screen TV and 4 50” Plasma TVs. The Terpzone also offers Daily Specials, Group Reservations, Locker Rentals and Membership Discount Cards. The Terpzone hosts Cosmic Friday and Saturday Nights from 8pm to 1am. Patrons can bowl in the lively atmosphere of music, colored lights, spinning disco balls, fog machines and black lights, and may even have a chance to win a prize if they get a strike with the color pins. The Terpzone also cultivates a sense of community by hosting intramural teams/clubs. Our friendly staff will provide clients with equipment and accompanying service. Ticketing Services The Stamp Ticket Office is the primary location for the purchase and sale for ticketed events for over 500 student organizations. Student organizations can arrange for the Stamp Ticket Office to hold and sell tickets for events they are sponsoring. The Ticketing Office accepts cash, credit cards, checks, and Terrapin Express for most events. Some event ticket sales are cash only. The Stamp Ticket Office also takes payment for event related costs; this covers audio visual equipment, linen, and room rental. Shops and Services Banking The Stamp Student Union has a full service bank and several ATM machines for quick access to your money. On the first floor of the Stamp, Capital One Bank allows students to bank, borrow, and invest on campus and students and staff can draw funds from the State Employee Credit Union (SECU) ATM near the Hoff Theater. Design & Copy Services Design Services takes clients’ design vision from a rough idea into a polished and creative product using the latest technology and professional staff. Design Services produces promotional materials, newsletters, flyers, advertisements, posters, banners, brochures and more, all ready for distribution. Copy Services, a unit under the Department of Business Services, is a low-cost, responsive, and high-quality copy and finishing service for university departments and faculty, Stamp staff, and students. Terrapin Shipping and Mailing The Terrapin Shipping and Mailing store offers various services at the Stamp, including mailing and shipping, packing and moving, copy, printing, communication and business, and more. Terrapin Shipping and Mailing ships and receives Ground/Air UPS, overnight, freight, and international packages. They also sell boxes for moving and packing items for easy move-in and move-out on campus and beyond. Printing services can create business cards, envelopes and letterheads, binding, laminating and more. Terrapin Technology Store The Terrapin Technology Store, operated by the Office of Information Technology (OIT), provides high-tech equipment and software to students, faculty, and staff at affordable prices. The Terrapin Technology store, which works closely with the Academic Computers for Terps (ACT) program, offers Dell and Apple laptop and desktop computers, select Dell printers, iPods, software products, and other accessories. The Terrapin Technology Store also takes customer suggestions for additional technology products. Computers sold at the Terrapin Technology Store come loaded with university software programs, on-campus support, warranties, and extended repair agreements. For the computer-buying wary, Apple and Dell representatives will be available occasionally to give customers extra help with selecting technology products for purchase or with already bought products from the Terrapin Technology Store. University Book Store The official campus bookstore's two floors provides students, faculty, staff, and alumni with a diverse selection of Maryland products. The University Bookstore is the one-stop show for Maryland apparel, gifts, school supplies, textbooks and select technology products. Union Shop The Union Shop, conveniently placed on the first floor of Stamp, offers a multitude of different eating options. Students, staff, faculty, and university visitors can buy fresh coffee, sandwiches, salads and a wide assortment of snacks. The Union Shop accepts major credit cards, cash, and Terrapin Express. Student Involvement Leadership and Community Service Learning (LCSL) Leadership Community Service Learning's mission is to promote positive social change through transformative learning and community engagement. Leadership Community Service Learning commits itself to five principle values: collective approach, social responsibility, principled practice, critical inquiry, and engaged scholarship. Memorial Chapel The Memorial Chapel, a living memorial to the members of the University community that fought and sacrificed their lives in war times, is the center for religious life on campus. The chapel supports all fourteen university recognized chaplaincies and each of their programs. In addition, the Memorial Chapel is the stage for a diverse range of events. In addition to weddings, the chapel also hosts concerts, convocations, lectures, commencements, and other special events. Multicultural Involvement Community Advocacy (MICA) The Multicultural Involvement & Community Advocacy Office (MICA), a sector in the Division of Student Affairs, educates students and promotes community across the borders of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, and gender identity and expression. As a campus that is prided on and committed to diversity, multiculturalism and social justice, the Multicultural Involvement & Community Advocacy Office has created various programs to capitalize that particular value. The MICA office carries out this mission through student-centered advising, advocacy, research, and every day practices in hope that the campus community will develop their understanding of different cultures and their own identity and role in the world.
