

Enterprise components, models, patterns, etc. are mandated deliverables in project artefacts
where required in key areas

All project solutions are subject to architecture review

Solution Architecture deliverables subsumed within the PMO methodology
PMO acts as conduit for Architecture referrals

PM council raises issues requiring EA team involvement

Architecture reports changes and issues to the PM council

PMO tracks activities and issues across all tracks
23
Benefits
Architecture and PMO Alignment


24
Experience


Enterprise Architecture needs to be closely aligned with project solution
architectures

Explicit mappings from enterprise to solution artefacts

EA “cherry-pick” key technology solutions evolving in project space
Portfolio Management – It’s not just projects anymore



Application, Project and Infrastructure portfolios need to be kept synchronized
PMO needs to own the project methodology

Management and conformance are absolutely necessary

Architecture needs its own artefacts managed in the methodology framework
Strategy will change – be prepared to manage and control it
