Female
Female (noun):
A person bearing two X chromosomes,
In the cell nuclei.
That’s what the dictionary says.
On google, you get something,
That's more complicated,
Instead of a simple definition.
Look at her.
This girl is tall, blonde,
With glowing white teeth,
And the hips and face,
of a Barbie doll.
Now, look at me.
Is that a face pimple you see?
Oh, no, that can't be there.
Where's the long, luscious lashes?
Where's the perfect, porcelain skin?
I mean, even for my size,
My heart says, "chocolate",
And my jeans say,
"For heaven's sake, woman,
eat a salad!"
Sorry, that I don't have,
a button nose,
perfect clothes,
stilts for legs,
or one hundred likes,
on my latest Instagram selfie.
I only know that she's probably,
puking up dinner,
to get thinner,
'cause she thinks it's what "winners" do,
and the goal is to have legs,
as thin as that cigarette she's smoking.
She doesn't have to worry,
about shame,
'cause she's a cosmo girl.
She's got youth hanging off of her,
just like her fourth child.
She's the perfect mother,
a perfect wife,
with perfect clothes,
and a perfect life,
but, you gotta leave perfect alone,
it's got a life of its own.
She's running on forty,
But on the cover, she's Forever 21,
What ever happened to living life fun?
Now, all the world is,
is a stage at a beauty pageant.
Think about this, ladies:
Even men try to throw their input into our lives.
Now, lemme tell you something.
Don't think you dominate.
We are the alphas,
Not you.
We wouldn't be "women"
without the "M-E-N" in us,
am I right?
or am I right?
When was it ever about,
Impressing boys with our butts?
You know very well,
He won't be the one to trust.
What ever happened,
To impressing boys with our minds?
Where the true beauty is hiding,
That's so hard to find?
Don't even think about,
Looking up to a three year old's doll.
If she was real,
She wouldn't be able to,
hold up her back or neck;
She'd have to crawl,
on all fours.
Last time I checked,
We aren't dogs,
So, stop whistling at us,
When we walk by, boys.
This isn't a dress to impress, ladies,
Whether you're thick or thin,
Your body may be beautiful,
But your heart will always win.
Please don't feel bad,
Because beauty is now driven,
You should be more thankful,
For our blessing that has been given.
Just remember,
whether you slap a filter,
over your selfie,
or if Mrs. Universe over here,
gets her feet kissed,
because she's hidden beneath make up,
and layers, upon layers,
of some photoshop bull crap,
that in the end,
none of it will matter.
Your heart is what wins another.
