Scientific Method Project
You are going to start a mini-project on the scientific method. For this project you will have to
create one of the following showing the use of the scientific method when making dinner:
-
A comic
A song/rap
A series of Tweets
A series of Facebook updates
A story
When working on this project you will need to show how the scientific method is used when
making dinner. The rubric on the back gives further instructions. Everyone should be aiming to
get a hundred which means you will want to look at the exemplary column. With this project
you should make sure to make it fun and exciting, which means you can include evil characters,
hash tags, comments, likes, response tweets and so one. The main point is that you will
demonstrate a strong understanding of the scientific method. Below are the steps and
definitions of the six steps to help you.
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
Observation – to notice something with your five senses
Question – Wanting to know more information
Hypothesis – A prediction about the answer to the question
Experiment – To test something out
Analyze – To take the information and make sense of it or to study and examine it
Conclusion – What you learned from the experiment
Remember when you hand something in it should be presentable, meaning neat and clean.
Even if you are completing a song or a rap it must be written out so that I can collect it. I look
forward to seeing all of your projects.
