Purpose Of the Role:
Implement Design, Development, Validation and Support Activities in line with architecture
requirements; participate in Knowledge Management activities with the objective of ensuring the
highest levels of service offerings to customers in own technology domain within the guidelines,
policies and norms of the company.


1. Project at Infosys
Project Name: Expense Calculation Module (Client: Swiss Bank)
Unit name:
Financial Services and Insurance Application Development and Maintenance.

Tools used: Toad for Oracle, Subversion for code version control, Quality Center 10&11, Eclipse.

Description: Expense Calculation Module (ECM) aims at generation of account postings for every
employee of the client by processing static and transactional data obtained from source system every
End Of Month (EOM). The data from source system are processed through database by using various
business specified rules and processes. After a series of operations in database, the processed data is
passed to Java module which in turn creates account postings. The entire project is based on the five
modules: Static and transactional data sourcing, Event sourcing, Event Management, Posting Engine
and Billing Handler, out of which Posting Engine is Java based and the remaining four are developed
in Oracle database.
Role in the project : Oracle Database Developer
Responsibilities:

Accept requirements from client via Technical Lead or Project Manager; analyze them
technically.

Provide solutions and implement them by developing code.

Perform unit testing as well as system testing for every requirement assigned.

Maintain technical documents and evidences relevant to every requirement in Quality
Center for every release.

Perform Release activities.

Provide support for User Acceptance Testing done by the client directly as well as analyze
and resolve any issues encountered.

Communicate with client directly whenever required.
Additional Responsibility: Configuration Controller of the project.
Contribution to Project:

Created a Java tool for finding out errors in logs.

Perform code changes for performance enhancement analyzed by self.
Achievements:

Achieved a Consolidated Relative Ranking (CRR) rating of 1 for Exceptional
Performance.

Got promoted from Systems Engineer to Senior Systems Engineer.

Proactively took initiative to work in this project for a span of two weeks while
simultaneously working in the above project for the same client.
Description: The project aims at providing a platform to the bank’s client advisors for recommending
certain products based on the ratings which are monitored.
