Happy New Year from us at SABBSA!
We hope and pray that you all had a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
2016 is already shaping up as an exciting year for us with a great new program on
the horizon. That new program is the new radio show on KSLR radio slated to start
in mid to late January on Saturday afternoons called “Believing the Bible.” Look for
the announcement in this newsletter detailing this exciting new tool in our quest
to spread the news of God’s creation and His Bible’s authority.
Our lead article refers to a question often asked, “What is the best evidence for
God’s creation?” There are a lot of great nominees for this answer. Science is finding more and more each day in the fields
of chemistry, physics, biology and archaeology that do not fit the evolutionary world view, but which fit the biblical account
beautifully!
We also have an article that I hope you find both informative and entertaining. This article takes look at the dozens of
theories for the extinction of dinosaurs that secular scientists have invented in the past. You should be impressed how the
biblical account of how all life was killed in the flood, except what was on the Ark, fits the geologic and archaeological
evidence better than any of these failed ideas!

The Best Evidence for God’s Creation
When people ask questions at a seminar or they find out I am a creation speaker through casual conversation I am often
asked the question, “What is the best evidence for creation?”
There are a lot of good nominees for that honor. We have a wealth of evidence in the fossil record for the worldwide flood
which thereby attests to the Bible’s accuracy and affirms its version of history. We have over seventy scientific clocks which
show the earth and solar system are very young on the order of 10,000 years old or less which coincides with the biblical
account and makes evolution impossible. We have “divine engineering” evident in every organism on the earth showing
how all organisms are “irreducibly complex,” which means they could not have been cobbled together by random chance
processes, but had to be built fully formed from the start by a designer to be functional and viable. Every living cell is a
miraculously designed testament to the Creator with nanotechnology far in advance of what we can design and build
today. As scientific research grows, so do our reasons to believe in the Creator.
My answer to the question of “best evidence” today is DNA. It
would not have been so 20 years ago when evolutionists were
running wild in the field with theories of “junk DNA” and “genetic
drift” being roundly accepted. However, today, the case could not
be stronger for Deoxyribonucleic Acid as God’s signature on His
creation. Dr. Donald Batten with Creation Ministries International
agrees with me on this.
The evidence for DNA being Divinely engineered starts with its
very chemical makeup. DNA is a constructed molecule with a
sugar base onto which one of four right handed molecules called nucleotides are hung in ordered succession to make up
the code of life. This peculiar to the rest of nature “choice of life” to use only right handed molecules (same atoms as in a
left handed arrangement of the same molecule, but in reverse arrangement spatially), but these right handed chemical
codes, by design, must all be right handed to fit chemically with the 20 left handed amino acids which all fit together on the
atomic level to make data transmission possible.
Just these three constructs by themselves of life only being constructed of four specific right handed nucleotides, 20 specific
left handed amino acids (out of some 2000 which occur naturally, but always in a random mix of left and right handed
forms) and the constructs of RNA reveals a data storage and transfer system that is not only easily seen to be designed, but
just by themselves defies the laws of chance for just these three base constructs to have come together by random chance
processes.
Each strand of DNA in a living cell’s nucleus will contain anywhere between millions and billions of nucleotides (equivalent
of computer codes) strung together in data processing language of which we have been able to decode at this time only
about 2% of the whole due to its incredible complexity. Note that decoding what it means and simply knowing where all
the codes are placed are two different things. Finding where all the codes are placed on our DNA and what arrangement
they are in was the great work of the Human Genome Project which mapped the human genome, but deciphering what all
these three billion plus codes means is quite another thing.
Like our computer languages which also are data storage and transfer systems, DNA is written in its own “assembler
language” which can be read by “reader RNA” and transferred into the formation of proteins or directions for the
functioning of the cell. This data system like our computer systems utilizes data compression which is a hallmark of modern
computer systems. It also uses “short cut” codes for function loops. Just as we see in our newest and most advanced
computer languages like C++.
There are several places however, where the DNA data system is far superior to our best computer language systems to
date. One of these superiorities is that information seems to not only be placed linearly on the DNA strands as we do on a
hard drive or zip drive, but we have also found that some data is stored and read not linearly, but in three dimensions. The
actual folds of the chromosomes (individual strands of DNA) are used by the system to reveal spatially close points across
the top of each loop which offers data written on top of the linear code already imprinted. This is much like finding the
secret codes buried within a story or other writing by picking out every tenth word or letter, except this system is far more
complex.
The almost 2% of the genome which we have deciphered are called genes, which code for the making of proteins and other
chemicals formed for use in the cell. The ENCODE project conducted by secular genetics labs all over the world has laid to
rest the old thesis that 98% of DNA is what was called “junk DNA”. The ENCODE Project identified over 80% of this non-
coding DNA actually had regulatory functions associated with them. They found that what used to be called “junk or useless
random DNA” was instead a vast store of switches and instructions for cell functions telling the cell when to produce certain
chemicals, when not to, where proteins are to go and when and so much more.
As we would have suspected had we been the
designers of DNA and cells, the 20,000 sites which
produce proteins and make up only about 1.5% of DNA
are directed in their production and use by the other
98% of instructions on the DNA strands telling the cell
how and when to use these chemicals. So we have
thus found that essentially all of the billions of data
point nucleotides in any cell carry critical information
for the functioning of the cell and organism.
Evolutionists said that this could not be. On the cellular
level, their whole theory of random mutations coming
together accidentally and silently until accidentally
expressed was grounded in the idea of “junk DNA.”
The obliteration of this concept in DNA means that there is nowhere in DNA for genetic drift to silently occur which had
been a major tenant of evolutionary hypothesis about DNA formation.
Using the instructions from our DNA, cells form any one of 20,000 different chemical compounds used at different times
and places in the cell. All of these proteins and chemicals constructed by the cell using DNA instructions are comprised of
hundreds or in most cases thousands of amino acids strung together. The chance of the instructions for just one of these
proteins to be correctly placed in our genome by chance is a mathematical impossibility (Anything greater than a chance of
1 out of 1050 has been shown to be mathematically impossible. According to Golay, the chances of DNA containing the
coding for the simplest of proteins used by cells are 1 out of 10450. ) When you multiply this mathematical impossibility by
the chance of it occurring 20,000 more times for all of the instructions for each chemical coded to be made by the cell, you
quickly see that there is no logical choice whatsoever except to understand that this information was encoded onto this
complex data transfer system by a designer brighter than we are. This analysis leaves the idea that all of this happened by
chance mutations as utter nonsense since it is mathematically, physically and chemically impossible for such an accidental
construction to occur.
What is imprinted on our DNA molecules is information. And information always comes from an intelligent source. That
has been well established both in terms of common sense and by those in the burgeoning field of information theory.
Let’s look at just a few analogies of what information does. The cell manufactures itself, its organelles and proteins from
scratch. To assemble a little red wagon from scratch would require a hefty instruction manual. To assemble the Space
Shuttle and all its support components from scratch would require an immense library. A bacterium likewise contains in its
DNA the equivalent information to assembly of the space shuttle and would require an immense library and yet it’s all
stored in its DNA!
The human organism is as advanced over the bacteria as the shuttle is over the little red wagon and the amount of
information required to build it could not be contained in any library known. The lunacy is that evolution says that the
manual for the little red wagon can become the multiple libraries for the space shuttle. It says by typographical errors and
some selective copying a little red wagon can turn into a space ship!
Genome mapping from the Human Genome Project was supposed to help us solve most medical problems, but to date it
has not. Part of the reason for this is a reference frame problem which we do not understand in the coding of 98% of DNA.
But, just as problematic are assumptions of working with only variable genes has not worked. It was thought that all we had
to do was look at one region (gene) of the genome, change it and see what effect that gave to interpret how that region
worked. As it turns out most gene locales contain codes for multiple proteins in the same set of instructions and thus
cannot be researched in the simplistic way we envisioned.
New research has found how RNA assembles all of the varied
proteins via the “splicing code.” Using the “splicing code,”
RNA combines different lines of code from different parts of the
genome as directed by introns, “silent DNA” or via its own
coding. This incidentally is exactly what your computer does
with information taken from different parts of the computer
hard drive.
This “code within a code” was discovered by molecular
biologists and computer scientists using information
technology, informatics, code breaking techniques, reverse
engineering and assuming that what they were looking at was a designed information system. This discovery came not
from the theory of evolution, but only came when they ignored the evolutionary assumption that all this information
occurred by chance and assumed that they were looking at a designed system!
Contrary to evolutionary propaganda of late, research into human and chimp DNA shows that we differ from apes not by
the just 1-2% margin publicized, but by about 30% or almost a billion base pairs difference. This along with homology data
which shows that the same areas which code for the construction, maintenance and manipulation of the hands, feet and
other organs are not located in the same places in both genomes makes it quite clear that we did not evolve from the ape
and that the instructions for each are very specific to each “kind” as is repeatedly said in the Bible.
DNA cannot exist by itself. It is a very fragile molecule which begins to break down quite rapidly when we die. Thus for it to
exist, it has to now and had to in its beginning, be housed within a cell’s nucleus which not only maintains the DNA strands,
but also uses its information for the running of cellular functions. This points up a brand new answer to the old “chicken and
the egg” problem. Some will ask, “Which came first the chicken or the egg?” In the case of DNA and a cell they had to both
be produced at the same time or neither one can exist. This again leads us to a designer.
DNA is like the hard drive in your computer. Your hard drive has information on it, but it must be contained within a
computer which can read and use that information. A hard drive by itself, with no power source and no apparatus to read
and use its data is useless. DNA without a cell to maintain it, read and use its data is a useless hard drive just sitting there.
I could go on for some time about how DNA shows the brilliance of our Creator and testifies to His existence. This is
information which most people never hear and never delve into because of the complex nature of the information and
DNA. But, this is such an exciting field of discovery in creation science today that I hope we have made it all at least partially
understandable to the reader. God has left His signature finger print in the heavens, on Earth and especially in each one of
the 60 trillion cells that make up an adult human body. As Romans chapter 1 says,
“ The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the
truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to
them.20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been
clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile
and their foolish hearts were darkened.22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the
glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies
with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than
the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.”
We have no need to deny our Creator. The evidence for Him lies within our very being and all around us. All we have to do
is pay attention to His glory and the miracles of His creation!
How Did the Dinosaurs Die Off?
Today, most modern paleontologists widely assume that the dinosaurs were killed off
in mass extinction event some 65 million years ago when a huge comet hit the Earth
rapidly killing off almost all life in Central and North America and killing off all large life
across the globe in the next year with the advent of a “nuclear winter” which followed
due to all the debris hoisted into the atmosphere by this event.
This however is only one of a host of theories which have been proposed for how the
dinosaurs met their demise.
Deccan Traps
Deccan Traps are large Basalt flows associated with volcanic eruptions. A large set of
these have been found in India and dated to 65.5 million years ago. If there was a
massive volcanic event at this time it could have caused a climatic cataclysm across the Earth killing off most life.
The Deccan Traps could have caused extinction through several mechanisms, including the release of dust and sulphuric
aerosols into the air which might have blocked sunlight and thereby reduced photosynthesis in plants. In addition, Deccan
Trap volcanism might have resulted in carbon dioxide emissions which would have increased the greenhouse effect when
the dust and aerosols cleared from the atmosphere. (Duncan, RA & Pyle, DG (1988). "Rapid eruption of the Deccan flood

Multiple impact events
Several other craters also appear to have been formed about the time of the K–T boundary ( an iridium laced layer of strata
which may have been caused by comet or asteroid impacts). This suggests the possibility of nearly simultaneous multiple
impacts, perhaps from a fragmented asteroidal object, similar to the Shoemaker-Levy cometary impacts with Jupiter.
Among these are the Boltysh crater, a 24-km (15-mi) diameter impact crater in Ukraine(65.17 ± 0.64 Ma); and the Silverpit
crater, a 20-km (12-mi) diameter impact crater in the North Sea (60–65 Ma). Any other craters that might have formed in
the Tethys Ocean would have been obscured by erosion and tectonic events such as the relentless northward drift of Africa
and India.
A very large structure in the sea floor off the west coast of India has recently been interpreted as a crater by some
researchers. The potential Shiva crater, 450–600 km (280–370 mi) in diameter, would substantially exceed Chicxulub in size
and has also been dated at about 66 mya, an age consistent with the K–T boundary. An impact at this site could have been
the triggering event for the nearby Deccan Traps. However, this feature has not yet been accepted by the geologic
community as an impact crater and may just be a sinkhole depression caused by salt withdrawal.

Maastrichtian marine regression
Evidence exists that sea levels fell in the final stage of the Cretaceous by more than at any other time in the Mesozoic era.
No direct evidence exists for the cause of the regression, but the explanation which is currently accepted as the most likely
is that the mid-ocean ridges became less active and therefore sank under their own weight as sediment from uplifted
orogenic belts filled in structural basins.
A severe regression would have greatly reduced the continental shelf area, which is the most species-rich part of the sea,
and therefore could have been enough to cause a marine mass extinction. The regression would also have caused climate
changes, partly by disrupting winds and ocean currents and partly by reducing the Earth's albedo (reflectivity of sunlight)
and therefore increasing global temperatures.
This idea has been found wanting because it does not give a wide enough cataclysm to explain the mass die off at the end

Supernova hypothesis
Another proposed cause for the K–T extinction event is cosmic radiation from a nearby supernova explosion. An iridium
anomaly at the boundary could support this hypothesis. The fallout from a supernova explosion should contain 244
Pu, the longest-lived plutonium isotope with a half-life of 81 million years. If the supernova hypothesis were correct, traces
of 244 Pu should be detected in rocks deposited at the time. However, analysis of the boundary layer sediments failed to
find 244 Pu. (Ellis, J & Schramm, DN (1995). "Could a Nearby Supernova Explosion have Caused a Mass

Multiple causes
It is possible that more than one of these hypotheses may be a partial solution to the mystery, and that more than one of
these events may have occurred. The location of the Deccan Traps, for example, would have been close to the antipodal
point of Chicxulub in the late Cretaceous; a sufficiently large asteroid impact might have sent shock waves around the
planet sufficient to trigger an effect on weakened crust on the other side of the globe.
Rodents ate Dinosaurs Eggs
One old theory insisted that “early”
mammal rodents, the size of rats, went
around raiding dinosaur nests. They ate all
the eggs and caused dinosaur populations
to decrease drastically. This idea however
has a lot of problems. Analyzing fossil
deposits it appears that the dinosaurs and
almost all life at the time died off rather
suddenly which this theory could not
produce. Further, consider that rats had to
have lived alongside the dinosaurs for
supposedly millions of years without killing
them off. All of this reasoning is why this
idea is no longer seriously considered.
Tiny Brains
Another idea supposed that since dinosaur brains are very small in relation to their size, their lack of adaptability eventually
made them obsolete. Were the dinosaurs too stupid to survive? They certainly managed alright with the brains built into
them from the beginning and did so supposedly for a hundred million years? Why would this all change?
Fat Dinos
Could they have died from overeating? Some thought that the tremendous size of the dinosaurs caused many to get
“slipped disks” in their spines. This made it hard to forage for food. So they all starved to death due to back trouble!? I know
your response. How stupid, but you can’t make this stuff up. It is printed in scientific journals and shows how grasping
paleontologists had been at trying to explain dinosaur’s extinction.
Climate Change
They died of a heat wave! In 1946 one paleontologist theorized that a worldwide heat wave of just two degrees above
normal would have “baked” all the male dinosaur sex glands. This caused a mass outbreak of sterility. Thus all dinosaurs
would have die off without heirs.
Picky Eaters
Maybe like our kids they were “fussy eaters.” Some have theorized that if the dinosaur’s favorite food suffered severe crop
failures, it could lead to starvation because they would not eat anything else. Others have proposed that when pushed from
their favorite plants, that the dumb dinosaurs did not have enough sense not to eat poisonous plants and were killed off in
this way by poisoning themselves. (Peterson, Dennis R., “Unlocking the Mysteries of Creation”, 2012, Creation Resource

Constipation
Believe it or not, one theory suggested that dinosaurs might have died from mass case of constipation! The idea was that
herbivorous dinosaurs had a problem digesting seed-bearing plants. As time went on, harder seeded plants began to
displace the older spore-propagated plants that the dinosaurs ate. This caused problems for them, including constipation

Comet hits the Earth – the Alvarez Hypothesis
The cover of Time magazine (5/6/85) featured the now
prevalent theory asking, “Did Comets Kill the Dinosaurs?”
A tremendous impact supposedly hit the earth in the
vicinity of the Yucatan peninsula. This set the North
American continent ablaze and sent so much dust into the
sky that it was darkened for more than a year,
temperatures dropped and cold blooded animals like
dinosaurs died off. Those not killed by the temperatures
died for the lack of vegetation in the next year as the “nuclear winter” effect caused by the lack of sunlight killed off most
plants.
You can see that this theory at least makes more sense than many proposed. This theory was supported by evidence from
the K-T boundary. The K-T Barrier is a thin layer of ash, debris and iridium deposits found around the world and which many
scientists theorize could have resulted from the explosion of this 6-mile wide comet hitting the Yucatan and spewing
radioactive iridium into the upper atmosphere which was eventually deposited all over the world and we see it in this
boundary today, below which almost all dinosaur fossils are found.
It would also account for the killing off of almost all species on earth as the fossil record suggests for as Dr. Luis Alvarez said,
“The problem is not what killed the dinosaurs, but what killed almost all life at the time.”
The Bible and Archaeology
What is not considered in all of these theories is the geological support for what the Bible says happened. The Bible says
that several thousand years ago God sent a world covering flood to wipe all life from the planet. It describes a world altering
event with a great amount of volcanism from the mid-ocean ridges and from the tectonic plate barriers around the world.
So what do we find in geology. We find billions of dead things buried by flood waters in sedimentary deposits all over the
world which extend thousands of feet below our surface, just as we would expect to find if the Bible is true.
As it turns out, iridium is also associated with volcanism, especially with dust injected into the atmosphere from basaltic
extrusions. For instance, the fine airborne particles above a Hawaiian basaltic eruption were found to be highly enriched in
iridium, much higher than in the K/T boundary clays at Gubbio and Stevns Klint. High iridium has also been associated with
other volcanic eruptions and found within volcanic dust bands in the Antarctic ice cores. This fine material is of similar

Thus, the K-T boundary could just as easily be associated with evidence for the worldwide flood which would have included
massive volcanism as it could to support either the Comet theory or the Deccan Traps theory.
Contrary to what you have been told, there are dinosaur fossils found above the K-T boundary. This does not fit with either
the Deccan traps idea nor the Comet Hypothesis, but if fits perfectly with the Bible’s flood account.
According to the Bible, two of “every” land animal would have been included on the Ark and this would have included
dinosaurs. Thus, while overwhelming 99%+ of all dinosaurs would have killed and buried in the flood leaving us with the
mass of dinosaur fossils we find today buried under the K-T boundary, formed not from a comet explosion, but from the
massive volcanism of the flood event. Some dinosaurs proceeded from the Ark and repopulated the earth for a time until a
combination of climatic conditions and man hunting them finally killed them off just recently.
The rare dinosaur fossils found above the K-T boundary fit well with this biblical account, but not with the Comet model.
The multiple finds of soft tissue in dinosaur bones and dinosaur bones which are not petrified attest to their demise being
only in last few thousand years and not millions of years ago as has been assumed.
The recent finding by doing deep Earth echo soundings has shown that a vast store of water more than three times that of
what exists on the Earth’s surface is buried inside the earth’s crust and mantle. This may be pointing to the remnant of what
the Bible refers to as the “fountains of the deep” which opened up at the start of the flood event.
There are more than 46 evolutionary theories of why dinosaurs died out. They include everything from sunburn to
constipation and even getting cataracts … from an asteroid hitting the earth to dinosaurs’ were being bitten by tsetse flies.
What is not given proper credence by paleontology today is the how well the biblical account matches what we find in
geology. You do not have to be stupid nor ignorant to believe in the Bible. God’s creation attests to the trueness and
infallibility of His words and we should pay attention to them.

There are several ways you can help with this exciting new endeavor. One and always first is pray for this program, for its

week costs of putting this program on. Third listen to this show on the air and tell your friends and family members so this
can reach as wide an audience as possible. Fourth, help us with scripts. We are hoping that our board and other interested

Prayer Needs and Praises!
Answers in Genesis and their Ark Encounter project have come under intense political attack and the
state of Kentucky has rescinded their rights to tax incentives provided to all tourist attractions such as
them. AiG has had to sue the state of Kentucky to try and get back the tax incentives provided to all

Praise God for the fact that AiG has been able to break ground and is in the midst of construction with
this ambitious project! The Ark is to open July 7 of this year!
