Creation of a Handout, Pamphlet and Poster Board for EAs Session 3 - Seizure Presentation, Session 4 - Allergy Presentation, and Session 5 Diabetes Presentation The EA will choose one of the three options listed to be submitted one week after completion of sessions. The EA will have their own copy of assessment criteria in their package. Describe the information outline and answer questions as needed. Session 3 : Seizure Presentation Activity for EAs Create an emergency poster for Seizure Management for the classroom: Ensure 5 important points are included about assisting during a seizure that you learned during the session. Use 8.5” x 11” standard paper (letter size) any colour. Ensure your name is on it. Be creative, graphic and informative as this could be used for student’s awareness of seizures in your school. 2. Session 4 : Allergy Awareness Activity for EAs Create a pamphlet to increase Allergy Awareness in your school: List the common allergies. Symptoms. Define Anaphylaxis and the reason it is a concern. Suggest things your community can do to keep children safe while at school. 3. Session 5 : Diabetes Activity for EAs Create a one-page handout about Diabetes that could be used in your classroom: List 5 things you think other students and staff MUST know about Diabetes. Discuss the EAs role in Diabetes recognition and management.
