APES Biodiversity Project
Each student will create an informational poster about an endangered species
found in Region 3 of the USFWS. Use the following web site for a list of
organisms:
http://www.fws.gov/midwest/endangered/lists/e_th_pr.html
Students will research an organism through the internet and other sources and
complete a brochure or pamphlet using that information. Microsoft publisher or
word can be used to create the poster.
Include the following:

Genus and species name
Description of organism with photographs
Breeding characteristics
World distribution and current numbers
Habitat and food preferences
Threats to survival
Description of the endangered species act
Any programs established for their protection
Each student will present their work to the class in a 5 minute presentation on
Monday. 15 points for poster, 5 points for presentation.
