Sandeep is a Wireless/High Tech industry veteran with over 20 years of experience defining, developing, and
commercializing advanced products across the globe. His product experience includes senior marketing and
engineering roles introducing 3G/4G products & services in the infrastructure, device, carrier, and
semiconductor space. His product marketing experience include marquee accounts such as Apple, Samsung,
LGE, HTC, Huawei, ZTE, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Netgear, Sierra Wireless, et.al. His general management / P&L

Sandeep is currently President of NetraDyne, Inc. NetraDyne is an early stage venture focused on
commercializing breakthrough innovations in the areas of Computer Vision and Deep Learning/Machine
Learning across a range of industries. His responsibilities include leading US operations and global
responsibility for sales, business development, product management and product marketing.
Prior to NetraDyne, he served as Vice President of Product Management at Qualcomm, Inc. During his 10+
year tenure at Qualcomm, he was instrumental in driving the introduction of more than two dozen of
Qualcomm’s leading SnapdragonTM smartphone and GobiTM M2M/IOT chipsets.
Prior to Qualcomm, he worked at Motorola, Leap Wireless/Cricket Wireless, The Beckman Institute for
Advanced Science and Technology, and The National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA).
He is also an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at San Diego State University, focusing on Product Innovation and
New Product Introduction.
Sandeep earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and BS
and MS degrees in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

product management and product marketing.
NetraDyne is focused on creating an intelligent vision based ‘IoT’ platform for processing visual and other
sensory input. Rapid improvement in the performance and cost of camera sensors, compute resources,
bandwidth at both the client and the cloud, along with advancements in deep learning technology, have
created a perfect opportunity to leverage vision based learning across multiple industries. NetraDyne is
targeting industries such as automotive/fleet, smart cities, and retail where vision based analytics offer a key
performance differentiator.
Qualcomm, Inc. 2004-Present
Over a 10+ year period, lead the definition and commercialization of two dozen 3G/4G basebands across
multiple product segments (Android/Windows smartphones, feature phones, Internet-of-Things (IOT) devices,
Machine to Machine (M2M) industrial & telematics modules, and wearables) for all 3GPP/3GPP2 modem
technologies (CDMA2000, UMTS/WCDMA, HSPA+, DCHSPA+, and LTE Advanced) on a global basis. Commercial
engagements required close collaboration with Tier 1 Operators as well as Tier 1 device OEMs/ODMs.
SnapdragonTM chipsets defined served mass-market smartphones spanning $100-$400 tiers across carrier and
open-market channels. Individual chipset shipments ranged from 100Mu-300Mu over a typical product
lifecycle (3-4 years)
Accountable for multi-billion dollar chipset portfolio P&L performance. Earnings scale equivalent to a
FORTUNE 200 business

 Directed a broad portfolio of smartphone MSMs (Android & Windows based) serving Developed and
Developing markets, viz. MSM8926/8928/8952/8953/8956/8976. Baseband definition required extensive
collaboration with subject matter experts across all baseband modem & application processor
technologies (Camera, Video, GPU, CPU, Wifi/BT connectivity, DSP, peripherals, etc). Also worked closely
with commercial smartphone reference design team to encourage greater emerging market adoption.
 Led the aggressive expansion of the 4G modem chipset portfolio and business across all market segments:
IoT/mobile broadband, M2M, and smartphone.
o Revenue growth and unit shipment growth both on a 3 year > 50% CAGR. Global OEM base
includes all key Tier 1s as well as new entrants
o Key product introductions include Qualcomm’s four generations of LTE/LTEA/DCHSPA+ modem
chipsets, viz. MDM9x00/9x15/9x25/9x35/9x45 enabling 4G to become a true mass market
technology in terms of performance, power, PCB area and cost

Lead the UMTS mass market handset chipset portfolio, which included among other chipsets the
MSM6250. This was the first commercially successful 3G / UMTS feature phone chipset from Qualcomm
and paved the way for Qualcomm’s future success in 3G / UMTS. In addition, defined and commercialized
the MSM6225, MSM6245, MSM6255, MSM6260, QSC6240, QSC6270 chipsets across 130nm and 65nm
processes, and across WCDMA/HSPDA modem technologies. The QSC was the Qualcomm’s first HSDPA
Single Chip solution and an industry first monolithic 3G RF/BB SOC in 65nm.

 Joined Leap in the midst of restructuring to help the company turn around its product development
efforts. Lead the following teams: Product Management, Project Management, Market Research, and Web

 Prior to my joining, Leap had only introduced one product in 2003. However, product introductions thru
my team included, 6 new rate plans, a suite of ringtones, SMS marketing events, BREW™ apps, Instant
Messaging (SMS version), Premium SMS, MMS, roaming, and a prepaid calling service.
 Have developed the following Market & Corporate Strategies
- 2004 Product Roadmap: Led to 2004 being called ‘Year of the Product’ by the CEO.
- Mobile Content Strategy: Included market sizing, segmentation and targeting, pricing/value-chain

- Web Channel Development & MyCricket.com Strategy: Developing long-term E-Commerce strategy for
growing product sales and promotion through the web.
