QGOV is responsible for Qualcomm's government business whose charter is to provide secure wireless technology solutions for U.S. government applications. QGOV is dedicated to working with federal, state and local government entities to apply the advances in commercial wireless technology that enable significant technology gains and excellence in their mission performance. Prior to her current role, Koro joined the legal department of Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions in 1989 and subsequently assumed various positions overseeing division legal matters, international programs and business development. In 1995, Koro was named vice president of operations and division counsel for Qualcomm's CommSystems division and continued to assume increasing levels of responsibility and leadership, including being named senior vice president and general manager of Government Systems and Digital Cinema. In 1999, Koro was appointed as senior vice president of Qualcomm and president of Qualcomm Government Technologies. Koro began her career with the San Diego law firm of Gray, Cary, Ames & Frye (which later become DLA Piper), specializing in business and commercial transactions. Koro holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. ### (11/12)
