Hama’s house in Contigo I suppose, in a dojo kind of room used for training and meditation and the like. Hama is watching over Ivan and Sheba as they meditate in an effort to get a greater mastery over their prophecy abilities. Hama: “Focus. Clear your mind. Only by becoming empty, can you allow the future to fill you.” Ivan (thinking): Clear your mind? How am I supposed to do that? I’m not a rock… or Garet. Besides, I don’t like the idea of anything filling me. Hama: “Focus, Ivan.” Hama orders. Sheba snickers at him being scolded. Ivan (thinking): Oh, right, Mind Read. Fine… nothing… empty… nothing… A sudden flash of the Wise One enters his mind’s eye and he keels over, a short yelp escaping his mouth. The same happens to Sheba. Hama rushes to their side. Wise One (mentally): Warriors, I call upon you again. A new force threatens Weyard. In a moment I shall bring you to Sol Sanctum. Be prepared. Ivan shakes his head to regain his focus, glancing up to see his sister looking down on him. Ivan: “Wise One just talked to us. Says we’re needed again and he’s gonna teleport us apparently.” Hama: “I know, I had a vision telling of such days ago. Be safe.” Ivan merely rolls his eyes, it was a wonder she was ever worried for them. A sudden flash of Psynergetic light envelopes the two blonde Jupiter Adepts. In the next moment they are in the sparkling cave of Sol Sanctum’s innermost chamber, the previous host of the Elemental Stars, before Ivan and his friends returned them to their shrines in the Elemental Lighthouses, reconnecting Weyard and its Adepts to the elements. Quick and confused smiles are shared between the eight Adepts who had come together before their gazes turned to the hovering deity above them. Felix: “Why did you call us?” Wise One: “Millennia ago the world of Weyard was under the threat of death, much as it was not two years ago.” Isaac: “The ‘world’ of Weyard? Wise One, Weyard is but a continent of Autre.” Wise One: “That is now the truth, yes. In times past, Weyard was its own entity, its own world adrift amongst the stars, like so many others. Yet, like so many others all those years ago, it began to die. Were it not for several champions from different worlds, all life would have fallen into the eternal abyss of nothingness. Their efforts created the world of Autre.” (I guess here we could have images of the worlds, stars burning out, the ceremony, etc…) (An idea that came to me as I wrote this is the original reason the worlds were dying out was because of some evil entity that consumed a world’s energy. But, because worlds are bonded it can’t feed, so it needs to wait until the bonds are weakened.) Wise One: “Several worlds did not survive the process, fewer have survived through the ages, I have watched as they died in but a moment, becoming not but legend and dust, akin to the great wastes near Weyard. A ceremony is required to sustain the bonds forged between worlds, a ceremony Weyard has always been a key part of. A ceremony whose time approaches yet again.” Felix: “What do you need of us?” Wise One: “I require you to recover the Elemental Stars. Since the original bond, dark forces have always conspired to undo what has been done. These same forces have stolen the Stars. You must recover them, they are essential to the bonding ceremony. Four of you shall recover the Stars while the other four remain to guard the Elemental Shrines, and gather more Adepts of each element. Decide amongst yourselves.” The eight turned to each other in question. Each looked to Isaac and Felix first. (Am I insane for thinking of letting the reader decide on who?) Felix: “I’ll lead the chase.” Jenna: “I’m with you! You’re not leaving me again!” Felix merely sighed as he glanced over the others. Ivan: “I’m with you. Sheba and my sister will watch over Jupiter.” Sheba: “Sure, don’t give me a say. Just… be careful, Ivan.” Ivan: “I will.” Piers: “Mia, perhaps you should accompany them? They will likely require an experienced healer during their travels. I shall guard both Mercury Lighthouse and Imil for you, do not fear.” Mia nodded her thanks to the Lemurian and joined the Ivan, Felix, and Jenna. Wise One: “Very well, Isaac, Garet, Sheba, Piers, you shall have to ensure the protection of the Elemental Star chambers for when they are recovered. You will also have to locate several Adepts of the same element, I trust that should not be a problem. When the time comes I shall contact you again. The four in question nod, swearing they will. Wise One: “Felix, Jenna, Ivan, Mia, sail west from Contigo. You may encounter beings and technology completely alien to you, but as Adepts you should be more than prepared. Ivan’s prophecies should guide you to the thieves. If you are ever lost however, meet with yen Sid at the Land of Departure, or Princess Celestia in Canterlot. As I am the guardian of Weyard, s are they the guardians of their homes. Now go, Champions!” Light once more engulfs them as they are teleported from Sol Sanctum.
