News article Applying a journalistic style, write a news story about something that happened to one of the characters. Remember: news stories follow the format of who, what, when, where, why, and how. Cereal box Create a cereal box for you book. Give it a creative name and illustrate the front. Look to real cereal boxes for inspiration. Instead of ingredients on one side, list the characters with brief descriptions. On the other side, describe the setting, mood, and tone. On the back, describe the basic plot and explain the theme. Include illustrations on all sides. Crossword Puzzle Generate a crossword puzzle with details related to the novel. You will need at least 25 entries and an answer key. Picture Book Design a picture book for children based on the novel. It should be at least 8 pages with text and illustration on each. Letter Write a letter to a movie producer to convince him to make the book into a movie. Explain why the story, characters, conflicts, etc. would make a good film. Propose suggestions for a filming location and actors and give justification for your suggestions. Plot Diagram Draw the traditional plot diagram. Identify and describe each of the five stages.
