Marketing Coordinator Position Title: Location: Status: Working Hours: Marketing Coordinator Based at CCF head office (Phnom Penh) Full-time position. One year contract, with option to extend OUR ORGANISATION Founded in 2004, Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF) provides life-changing education, nourishment and healing to vulnerable children from some of Cambodia’s most destitute communities. This well respected NGO cares for more than 2,300 students and 10,000 people annually, providing to entire families and communities in crisis. For the children of the Steung Meanchey area, education is their lifeline out of poverty and CCF offers a solid education aimed at providing hope, opportunity and security. CCF’s programs have expanded to ensure that the families of the children who attend CCF are also supported, with more than 64 programs - everything from health care to debt alleviation programs - all of which exist to support the main goal of providing a consistent, high quality education to the children of Steung Meanchey. The work with CCF children, their families and the community is supported by fundraising offices in USA, Australia, Hong Kong and the UK all of whom work in close liaison with the Marketing & Communications team. THE MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS TEAM The CCF Marketing and Communications Team are the voice of Cambodian Children’s Fund. The team is tasked with building brand awareness, and growing the reach of CCF in target markets around the world, ensuring that CCF’s marketing and media materials reflect the organization’s branding, vibrancy, creativity and priority areas. The team develops content, tells stories, builds audiences and creates media pieces that ensure CCF’s international staff, supporters and volunteers feel connected with CCF’s mission and work, and are motivated and supported in achieving their fundraising goals. The ultimate goal for the team is to support efforts to value, acknowledge and retain existing donors and build the donor base, thus supporting CFF’s income generation strategy POSITION SUMMARY The role requires an experienced marketing leader to coordinate the production of all aspects of marketing and communications collateral and who is seeking an opportunity to contribute significantly to a leading NGO in a developing country. The Marketing Coordinator will liaise regularly with CCF’s international offices and key staff to identify, plan and produce materials needed to support CCF’s fundraising and engagement activities and to execute the marketing and communications plan. This role is based in the Phnom Penh office and will report to the Manager, Marketing and Communications. The role will have a strong liaison with CCF’s International Offices. REPORTING Reports to Key liaison Manages Manager, Marketing & Communication Marketing & Communications colleagues, Donor Relations, Sponsorship and Grants colleagues, colleagues in US, Australia, Hong Kong and UK. N/A KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Core Marketing Materials Design and develop a suite of core marketing materials and an approach to organisation-wide distribution. Work with the Multimedia Coordinator to ensure that marketing materials and highquality multimedia align with CCF’s branding, style and message. Event and Campaign Materials Work closely with fundraising offices, event committees and partner organisations to develop tailored materials required for specific needs, such as fundraising campaigns and international events Copywriting With input from the Marketing and Communications Manager, Executive Director and Programs team, act as the lead copywriter for marketing materials and reports. Relationship Management Work closely with CCF international offices and key in-country staff to ensure they are provided with marketing and communications support. Ensure that requests for materials are processed in a systematic way, prioritize tasks and ensure that deadlines are met. Experience in a similar role. Solid portfolio of previous work. Skilled at using Adobe Creative Suite ( Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) Conceptual in thinking: able to collect and understand requests from international offices, aligning & integrating them into a broad strategy Outcome focus: Ability and willingness to deliver outcomes quickly and deliver on tight deadlines Motivated self-started, with ability to manage several projects at once Creative: Highly creative and able to demonstrate evidence of innovative communication initiatives. Ability to identify opportunities and design innovative approaches Strong project management skills: a systematic and thorough approach to work, prioritise responsibly and demonstrate accountability and the ability to effectively multitask Interpersonal and communication skills and the ability work in a team successful. Ability to form successful professional relationships with local and international colleagues Enthusiasm about living and work in a developing country. Previous experience within the international development/NGO sector preferred. (Note, Salary consistent with that of a responsible NGO).
