Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall coordination, execution, control and completion of a
portfolio of projects, under the direction of business leaders.
The project manager works cross-functionally to establish and manage the project plan incorporating
deliverables from several functional areas, including R&D, supply chain, marketing and others. Successful
candidates will have a passion for project management and are comfortable in a role where they influence
and provide accountability without having direct authority. The project manager is a “best practices
consultant” suggesting the most efficient path for project execution and applying relevant project
management tools.
Additionally, the project manager organizes, prepares reports for and facilitates periodic reviews with key
stakeholders. He/she also facilitates gate reviews and post-launch assessments within projects.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitates a portfolio of projects, often with budgets above $500K and timelines ranging 1-3 years
• Leads the planning and the tracking of projects
• Leads the team in using project management best practices and tools
• Facilitates defining project scope, goals and deliverables
• Coordinates, schedules and monitors project tasks and timelines
• Coordinates internal and external resources
• Coordinates internal and external meetings
• Facilitates identifying and monitoring project risks and mitigation plans
• Facilitates project evaluations and assessments of results
• Maintains and provides portfolio reports
• Facilitates gate reviews within projects
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Three years of work experience in a project management capacity
Preferred Qualifications:
• PMP Certification or equivalent
• Experience supporting projects in a product development environment
• Experience working with cross functional teams
• Experience with Scrum Methodology and Jira Project Software, a plus
