Life Safety Code Enforcement
EHS personnel inspect all campus locations on
a routine and special basis to ensure the safety
of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
If any unsafe conditions are found, the
Authority Having Jurisdiction has
the authority to stop the work and/or
lock out the area until improvements
are made.

Construction Code Enforcement
All construction, renovation and remodeling of
any structure owned or operated by OSU shall
be designed and constructed according to all
codes/standards that are referenced by the 2003
International Building Code.
During construction, all projects will be
inspected at regular intervals for safe
working practices, good construction and
adherence to applicable codes. If serious
violations are found, a Cease & Desist
Order may be issued.
