If any unsafe conditions are found, the Authority Having Jurisdiction has the authority to stop the work and/or lock out the area until improvements are made. Oklahoma State University Environmental Health & Safety Construction Code Enforcement All construction, renovation and remodeling of any structure owned or operated by OSU shall be designed and constructed according to all codes/standards that are referenced by the 2003 International Building Code. During construction, all projects will be inspected at regular intervals for safe working practices, good construction and adherence to applicable codes. If serious violations are found, a Cease & Desist Order may be issued. Oklahoma State University Environmental Health & Safety Federal Compliance Department of Transportation Regulates interstate shipment and permitting of all chemical and hazardous substances. The Oklahoma Corporation Commission establishes rules and regulations for intrastate shipment under Senate Bill 809, of the 2000 Legislature. University Mailing Services coordinates the shipment of biological and hazardous substances to and from the OSU campus with EHS and other University departments.
