 Known as “The Red King”
the king of the Scotts.
 His name is derived meaning
"son of life". It, however,
does not have any meaning
of affiliation to family, but
instead carries an
implication of “righteous
man” or "religious man".
 Macbeth was the cousin of
Duncan I who he succeeded.
 The first king of Scotland to
introduce feudalism to
Scotland.

 Macbeth is a mighty and ambitious warrior, one of the
leaders of Duncan’s army.
 He is a Thane of Glamis.
 He hears a prophecy that he will be king one day.
 He is elected king of Scotland, but he became a cruel
and unjust ruler.




Both were great warriors on the battlefield.
They were kings of Scotland.
They each killed their predecessor to the throne.
Both were killed in the field of battle.
