ABOUT TTG

Teens Turning Green is a student led movement devoted to education and advocacy around environmentally sustainable and socially responsible choices for individuals, schools, and communities. TTG seeks to engage youth in the transition from conventional to conscious, empowering the next generation and mobilizing action to sustain our earth.

What began in the Bay Area in 2005 now has a presence at elementary, middle and high schools, universities, and student organizations across the country, and around the globe as well as a strong social media platform bringing together a global community of youth. TTG leads grassroots efforts that aim to raise awareness, eliminate toxic exposures, encourage behavior change, and lobby for policy that will lessen local and global impact. Our goal continues to be inspiring the transition from conventional to conscious living.

At the heart of this powerful effort, students forge partnerships with the top minds in our world today, industry leaders, community members, elected officials, schools, green businesses, journalists, scientists, farmers, non-profits, and a growing list of donors and sponsors that together strive for a greener and healthier planet.

Young advocates raise awareness among peers, speak about issues with passion and conviction, influence legislation around chemical policy, pressure corporate change, host high profile events and campaigns, and collaborate with like-minded individuals and groups to affect real, positive change. With a strong physical and virtual presence, our student-led programs work to ensure a healthy generation and sustained world far into the future.

Lifestyles: Creates awareness about toxic exposures and sustainable practices in daily lives and homes through educational outreach events and advocacy actions to protect personal health and

the environment.

Schools: Investigates health and environmental risks in schools and takes action to eliminate harmful exposure and implement healthy, greener alternatives.

Communities: Launches specific initiatives in partnerships with community leadership and residents to care for our earth.
