EXPERIENCE
Executive with an extraordinary combination of abilities, expertise, knowledge and practice in
manufacturing facilities, commercialization of products in the OEM and aftermarket world,
negotiation with suppliers, returning to and increasing the profitability of business, internal
control, warehousing, leading lean projects, customer service and quality.
DELPHI PRODUCT & SERVICE SOLUTION, 2003 to Aug 2015.
DIVISIONAL FINANCE MANAGER/Controller for Mexico, Central America and the
Caribbean.
Part of the restructuring and fixing team. Manage and control of finance functions, forecasting
and budgeting in accordance to GAAPs and Corporate Policies: cash, accounting, financial
statements, payments, receivables, reporting, management of risk, taxes cost and Internal
Control.
Currently Divisional Finance Manager and Controller for Mexico and Central America, with
responsibility on the growth of the entity, with 3 distinct business lines: Independent Aftermarket,
Diesel Aftermarket, and Original Equipment Service.
Additionally Finance Controller responsibilities focused on US GAAP, Mexican GAAP, IFRS and
Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accuracy & timeliness reporting of income statement, balance
sheet and cash flow statements.
Experience and responsibility on Strategic Planning, Mergers & Acquisitions, Budget/Forecast
Management and Performance improvement initiatives.
Currently manage a finance staff of 11 professionals with responsibilities on Finance, Quality,
Environmental and Health and Safety areas.
Responsible for the Commercial relationship with Chrysler, supporting Delphi Packard Division
with the sale of harnesses. It includes but not restricted to attending customer needs, interface
between customer and the plants, cost management in plant and distribution, program and
dispatch orders, attend complaints and provide a response.
STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES

As an integral member of the Local Staff, playing a significant role in leading operational
excellence, delivery and strategic growth.






Act as business partner and for Corporate priorities for the region.
Play a leading role in evaluating growth and development opportunities across Mexico
and Central America Region.
Lead the business planning (annual budgets and three year plans) and monthly/quarterly
forecasting and review processes.
Input as required into all business and management issues.
Identify and evaluate the risk profiles.
Heads on high profile projects and contract negotiations.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES











Manage relationships with senior management team and ensure reporting requirements
and ad-hoc information requests are met.
Direct reporting and consolidation processes for financial and business KPIs.
Provide meaningful and insightful decision-support information. Report current and
forecast management financials on a timely and accurate basis.
Responsible for overall financial evaluation of BUs and projects. Identify and report BU
and project risks on a timely and accurate basis.
Manage financial controls and risks. Improve the financial systems of control in each BU
and for the region to best practice for a multi-national organization.
Control and ensure efficiency of overhead expenditure and associated authorization
procedures.
Work with local operations and Management Team, benchmarking KPI’s and processes
for best-practice inception.
Work closely with the Delphi Mexico Tax Manager to ensure tax compliance, accurate
tax reporting and successful tax planning.
Work accurately to improve cash forecasting and drive a continually improving and
enhanced culture of cash management and collection.
Manage the Divisional priorities (cash management, monthly reporting, audit, interoffice
items, compliance events, system needs, etc).
Complete and accurate management of cost, total cycle: from purchase of raw material
to sale to customer, including design of product and process.

restructuring and fixing team. Lead the project of sale of Battery Business to JCI in the
Aftermarket Unit. Manage of price strategy, manufacturing cost, SG&A cost, taxes, and all other
financial aspects of the business including Receivables, Payables, Internal Control, SOX, etc.
Strong involvement in the rest of the manufacturing activities leading lean product, process,
logistics projects from conceptualization to start up and follow up.

inventory and logistics of the material from raw material to final goods based on Just in Time
