Colossians 1
12. Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the
inheritance of the saints in light:
13. Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the
kingdom of his dear Son:
Proverbs 7
21. With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced

22. He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the
stocks;
23. Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.
24. Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
25. Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
26. For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.
27. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his
bands loosed from off his hands.
15. And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand
men therewith.
16. And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an ass have I slain a
thousand men.
17. And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his
hand, and called that place Ramathlehi.

4. And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.
5. And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his
great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him;

1 Samuel 17
44. And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to

45. Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield:
but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
46. This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee;
and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild
beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.
47. And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the
Lord's, and he will give you into our hands.
48. And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David
hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.

2. And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the
king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful

4. And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,
5. And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their
apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the Lord; there was no
more spirit in her.
6. And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy
wisdom.
7. Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not
told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.
23. So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom.
24. And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
1 Kings 11
1. But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the
Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites:
2. Of the nations concerning which the Lord said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them,
neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods:

3. And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned
away his heart.

Acts 4
16. Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is
manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
17. But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak
henceforth to no man in this name.
18. And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19. But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken
unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
21. So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might
punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
Acts 4
29. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all
boldness they may speak thy word,
30. By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy
holy child Jesus.
31. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were
all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

1. And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against
the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea
and Samaria, except the apostles.
2. And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
3. As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women
committed them to prison.
4. Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.

10. For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica;

no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.

his coat of many colours that was on him;

8. But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in
the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;
9. There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee,
because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
10. And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie
by her, or to be with her.
