Membership Requirements



Must attend 9 out of the 12 meetings per semester
Must obtain 5 service points and 3 social points per semester
Inactive Membership
o Exemption from attending the weekly Monday meetings
o Can only be an inactive member for ONE semester during your
time in AED at Virginia Tech
o Must obtain ALL of the required points for the semester but not
required to attend the weekly meetings
o If you want to go inactive, you must bring in documented proof of a
conflict (from work, class, etc.).
Probation Policy


If you do not complete all of your required points during the fall semester,
then those points will carry over to the spring semester.
If you still do not complete all of the extra points in addition to your
required points by the end of spring semester, you will be blacklisted from
the organization and your name will be given to Dr. Wubah.
National AED Membership



Not required to join the VT chapter

Blood Drives
o Bring in proof that you donated blood and receive 1 service point

Valley Interfaith Childcare Diaper & Wipe Drive
o Bring in at least 1 pack of diapers and 1 pack of wipes for 1 service
point
Outside Organization
o You may receive 1 service point per semester from any community
service completed outside of AED.
o Bring in a statement of proof of your service signed by a supervisor
in order to receive the point.
