PROJET : mon album de famille
FINAL DUE DATE:
Goal: You will create a “family album” in French demonstrating your knowledge of family members, descriptive
adjectives, possessive adjectives, and comparatives using new vocabulary learned from our textbook.
The book you create must include the following:
1. Decorated front cover with a French title and your name
2. Must include at least 10 family members (Use family vocabulary on pg. 34 and Yellow “La Famille” WS)
a. You may use your family or a fictitious (made-up) family
- For example: A family of animals, movie stars, cartoon images, etc.
You may include two pets, and no more
3.
Draw a family tree showing the relationship between people/characters and label the tree with at least 6
different names/relationships for people in the family (Ex: Julie – la mère)
4. Write descriptive phrases for each family member:
a. Must introduce your 10 different names using possessive adjectives
Ex: My name is… my sister’s name is… my uncle’s name is…etc.
b. Write a phrase establishing a relationship to you or to another member of your family using
possessive adjectives
(10 phrases total) (Use vocabulary on pgs. 228, 230 et 232)
Ex: Laura is my sister / Jacques is my father’s brother / Julia is my mother’s sister and my aunt
c. Write their birthday [in full sentences] in French using possessive adjectives
Ex. L’anniversaire de ma sœur c’est le 2 janvier 1982.

Include descriptive phrases for each family member that includes:
i. 15 different vocabulary words from pgs. 184-185 (EXCLUDES ADJECTIVES – found in
sections labeled: “La description” “Les adjectives de nationalité” et “Les couleurs”)
ii. All vocabulary words must be underlined
iii. No words should be repeated

e. Describe each member of your family with two or more adjectives and state what they like or do
not like to do [Use new verbs and expressions from pgs. 298-299]
