East Central Regional Quiz Scorekeepers Guidelines – Blue Level –One Point System (1 pt for ea correct answer)
1. Your will have two scoresheets ……..one for each round
2. Put your name at the TOP RIGHT of the scoresheet
3. You will be keeping score on two teams….one to your right…..one to your left
4. Ensure that the right team name is on the top of each round, i.e. EOhio #1 and EKty #1 (see below)
5. Ensure quizzers are seated in the order listed on the scoresheet for their team
BLUE Team Makeup & Scoring
1. There will be five quizzers to a team with 20 questions per round for total of 40 possible points per day
 OR four quizzers + ghost in case of someone’s absence…ghost assigned 14 pts (70%) per round/28 for day
 International teams will be formed with those ‘extra’ quizzers from the districts, as needed
Qualifying for Bonus
 Five member team may miss a total of 5 questions in each set of five (1-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20)
 A four member ghost team may miss a total of 4 questions in each set of the five above
 If as a team, the 5-member team misses 6+ questions, they do NOT qualify for bonus
 Likewise a 4-member ghost team that misses 5+ questions, does NOT qualify for bonus
Bonus Questions
 Each scorekeeper will have a copy of the bonus questions, score sheets and team name poster attached to clipboard
 Please avoid going to a quizzer from your own district

Standing quizzer (cannot change mind) will say the bonus question to you word for word w/reference (if required)
 Scorekeepers will be asked to display the ‘Team Name’ poster of those who gave the correct answer to question.
Totaling and Disposition of Scoresheets
 The two scorekeepers need to reconcile their scoresheets BEFORE turning both copies into the tallykeepers.
 Do not discuss with quizmaster/tallykeepers that you did not agree on the score…work out between the two of you.
o If any doubt, always give the quizzer the benefit of the doubt
 If quizzer gets a Perfect Round, mark scoresheet by quizzer’s name with a
 Runners will be stationed in all aisles to collect scoresheets at end of Rd #1 and #2 & give ONE to tallykeepers
 Runners to give District Coaches final score of their quizzers at end of each round…….tear sheets in half
